The reading routine that survives a school night is the one that doesn't need energy.
By 7pm everyone's spent โ which is why "we'll read later" quietly becomes "we'll read tomorrow."
โฌ๏ธโฌ๏ธCheck out some of our ๐ก in building a reading routine at home.
The goal isn't a perfect nightly session. It's that reading stays normal in your house.
๐ฌ What's the hardest part of the evening routine for you?

Meet ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ง ๐๐๐๐ฃ ๐
She has been with LitPal for 1 year and currently works with 12 young learners.
Why she teaches: "Because every child has his/her own pace, and I want to be the one who waits and cheers when s/he is ready."
Childhood favourite book: David and Goliath
What she's best at: Staying patient through the same sentence being read 5 times in a row, never finishing the word for her reading tutees, never sighing, just pointing quietly to the first letter until their face lights up at the end of the page.
Our tutors aren't interchangeable. We match children to the teacher who fits how they learn.

We know the Sunday version is tempting โ it's the only block of time that looks free. But reading is a habit before it's a skill, and habits are built by frequency, not by length.
๐ฃ๏ธA child who reads 15 minutes daily reaches roughly the same weekly total โ but arrives there having practised seven times instead of once.
๐Try this: pick a time that already exists. After merienda. Before the tablet. Same time daily, so nobody has to decide.
๐ฌ When does reading happen in your house?
13/08/2026
Weeks ago, one of our young readers skipped every letter she didn't recognize.
Lately she stopped, sounded it out, named it โ and GOT IT. Then she looked up to check if anyone saw.
๐๐ ๐๐ผ๐. ๐
That's what progress actually looks like โ not a perfect page, but a child willing to try the hard letters instead of jumping over them.
If your child is at the skipping stage, that isn't failure. That's the stage right before this one.
๐ฌ Tell us in the comments: what's one small win your child had this week?
Note: Shared with the parent's permission. ๐ค

A child's brain develops more rapidly during the first five years (๐ญ-๐ฑ ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ ๐ผ๐น๐ฑ) than at any other stage of life. Every story you read, every conversation you have, and every meaningful play experience helps build the foundation for learning.
That's why at ๐ง๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐ด๐ฒ ๐๐น๐๐ฏ, we make every story, conversation, and activity meaningful. We help children build vocabulary, imagination, confidence, and a lifelong love for learning.
