VSU ready to accept students for new BS Entrepreneurship program Visayas State University (VSU) Main Campus is now accepting students for its new BS Entrepreneurship program for AY 2026–2027 after passing CHED requirements. The program focuses on innovation, real business experience, and industry-relevant skills to prepare future entrepreneurs.

On April 30, the faculty members of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovation conducted an academic excursion at the University of San Carlos to gain insights from USC’s BS Entrepreneurship program and entrepreneurship initiatives.

The department sincerely thanks Fr. Francisco Antonio T. Estepa, University President; Dr. Julius P. Relampagos, Dean of the School of Business and Economics; Dr. Ethel D. Catamco, Chair of the Department of Business Administration; Dr. Melanie Banzuela and Dr. Angelo O. Burdeos, faculty members of the Department of Business Administration; and Dr. Raymund D. Mangumpit, Business Practicum Coordinator – BS Entrepreneurship Program and Prodigy Officers, for their warm welcome and generous sharing of knowledge and experiences.

The department also extends its appreciation to the BS Entrep students who shared their entrepreneurial journeys and insights during the visit, making the activity a meaningful learning experience for the visiting faculty members. 🌱✨

The Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship (BS Entrepreneurship) program of Visayas State University – Main Campus achieved an important milestone after receiving a favorable preliminary assessment from the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office VIII following the CHED-RQAT evaluation conducted on November 26, 2025.

The Report on the Result of Preliminary Assessment (RRPA) was formally received by Ms. Gracielle Lao and Dr. Pauline Caintic of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovation from Dr. Maximo Aljibe, together with Dr. Leo Camposano and Ms. Jane Latorre, on March 4, 2026.

The assessment confirms the university’s readiness to offer the BS Entrepreneurship program and accept its first batch of students in the First Semester of Academic Year 2026–2027, supporting VSU’s continuing efforts to strengthen entrepreneurship education and community development. 🌱🎓✨
