𝐀 𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐬, 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭! ✨

On September 22, 2026, our pioneer BS Entrepreneurship students came together for their first acquaintance party at the VSU Guest House. Filled with games, performances, conversations, and laughter, the gathering gave them a chance to get to know one another and begin building friendships for the journey ahead.

In her inspirational message, Dr. Aleli Villocino, Vice President for Student Affairs and Services, encouraged the students to embrace their place as pioneers. “There will only ever be one first batch,” she said, reminding them of the opportunity to help shape the program’s identity and set an example for future students.

The officers of LIKHA—Leaders Igniting Knowledge, Hope, and Action—led by their president, Mr. Jake Lecciones, were introduced to Dr. Villocino, Faculty of Management and Economics (FME) Dean Dr. Mark C. Ratilla, and Department of Business Management (DBM) Head Ms. Doryn Jan L. Avila. We thank the LIKHA officers for their hard work in organizing and facilitating the party, and our BS Entrepreneurship students for joining in and making it a memorable evening.

To our pioneer students: keep your curiosity, courage, and creativity alive. This is only the beginning of what you can build together. We believe in you! 💚

🌟𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐒 𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬!

The Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovation officially welcomed its pioneering BS Entrepreneurship students during the Freshmen Orientation held on August 13, 2026, at DEI 301, FME Academic Building.

The students were introduced to the program, its curriculum and specialization tracks, academic policies, student responsibilities, and the many opportunities awaiting them throughout their entrepreneurial journey. The orientation also marked another milestone as the pioneering students elected their first-ever set of officers, led by Jake Lecciones, the first president of the BS Entrepreneurship student body.

The Department extends its heartfelt gratitude to the faculty and staff who supported this meaningful event. Special thanks to the department heads, Mr. Randy Omega and Dr. Syrene Nayre, for introducing the program’s specialization tracks. We also sincerely thank DBM faculty members Mr. Anthony Lambert and Mr. Marlon Andrino for sharing their valuable experiences as entrepreneurs. We are deeply grateful to FME Dean Dr. Mark C. Ratilla for his continued guidance and support for the Department and its pioneering students.

Here’s to a meaningful journey filled with bold ideas, purposeful innovation, and positive impact. Welcome to DEI, future entrepreneurs and innovators!🧡💡

Our heartfelt gratitude goes to the VSU President for the support extended to FME, and to our Dean and DBM Head for their guidance throughout the transition. We are also deeply grateful to the departments, offices, and individuals who generously helped in different ways, especially those who lent chairs and other resources to support our move.

To those who have processed their shifting requirements, please be informed that all 40 available slots for the BS Entrepreneurship program have been filled, and we are unable to accommodate additional students at this time.

We sincerely appreciate your interest and the effort you put into preparing your requirements. We wish you well as you continue exploring opportunities aligned with your interests and goals.

The program will initially accommodate 40 students for the First Semester of AY 2026–2027. Qualified incoming students interested in pursuing BS Entrepreneurship may inquire about available slots during the face-to-face enrollment process.

Visayas State University (VSU) Main Campus is now accepting students for its new BS Entrepreneurship program for AY 2026–2027 after passing CHED requirements. The program focuses on innovation, real business experience, and industry-relevant skills to prepare future entrepreneurs.

𝐈𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐬, 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝐃𝐄𝐈 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐲 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐔𝐒𝐂 𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐈𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬
On April 30, the faculty members of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovation conducted an academic excursion at the University of San Carlos to gain insights from USC’s BS Entrepreneurship program and entrepreneurship initiatives.

The department sincerely thanks Fr. Francisco Antonio T. Estepa, University President; Dr. Julius P. Relampagos, Dean of the School of Business and Economics; Dr. Ethel D. Catamco, Chair of the Department of Business Administration; Dr. Melanie Banzuela and Dr. Angelo O. Burdeos, faculty members of the Department of Business Administration; and Dr. Raymund D. Mangumpit, Business Practicum Coordinator – BS Entrepreneurship Program and Prodigy Officers, for their warm welcome and generous sharing of knowledge and experiences.

The department also extends its appreciation to the BS Entrep students who shared their entrepreneurial journeys and insights during the visit, making the activity a meaningful learning experience for the visiting faculty members. 🌱✨
