Action Research: I Can Do It Built on the principle of community practice, teachers from the basic and higher education institutions should share best practices in action research.

In this connection, the College of Education aims to strengthen teacher's action research skills. Rationale

The goal of education is to provide quality education. Towards quality education, research is an indispensable tool for an informed classroom practices. Department of Education has instituted the basic education research agenda (BERA) which provides “guidance to DepEd and its stakeholders in the conduct of education research and in the utilization of research results to inform the Department’s planning, policy, and program development aligned with its vision, mission, and core values.” Through BERA, DepEd’s researches shall build on gains from existing research, generate new knowledge on priority research areas, focus … on relevant education issues, and maximize available resources for research within and outside the Department” (DepEd, 2016). However, though DepEd has their own experts, action research competencies are yet emerging. Built on the principle of community of practice, teachers from the basic education and higher education institutions should share best practices in this area. In this connection, the College of Education aims to strengthen action research skills of the teachers

The College of Education from the Visayas State University-Main Campus will be collecting information on the distinguished alumni of the college who are currently holding key positions and have established names through their accomplishments in the region and the country.

In addition, all of the data that will be gathered will be solely used for the paraphernalia and other publication materials which will be posted in the College's booth for the upcoming VSU Centennial Anniversary Celebration.
