Kalumboyan Rural Farm School Update | August 7, 2026

In compliance with Executive Order No. 50, Series of 2026, suspending classes due to the reported increase in cases of conjunctivitis (sore eyes) in the Province of Negros Oriental, the Kalumboyan Rural Farm School faculty and staff utilized today's suspension to conduct campus cleaning, disinfection, and sanitation activities.

This initiative reflects our commitment to providing a safe, clean, and healthy learning environment for our learners and school personnel. We also encourage everyone to continue practicing proper hygiene, frequent handwashing, and to seek medical attention if symptoms of sore eyes appear.

CLASS SUSPENSION ANNOUNCEMENT

August 7, 2026 | Friday

In accordance with Executive Order No. 50, Series of 2026, classes at all levels in Kalumboyan Rural Farm School are suspended on Friday, August 7, 2026, due to the reported increase in cases of conjunctivitis (sore eyes).

To ensure the continuity of learning, all teachers are directed to implement asynchronous learning and provide learning activities through the school's official communication channels.

We encourage everyone to prioritize their health by observing proper hygiene practices:

👁️ Avoid touching or rubbing your eyes.
🧼 Wash your hands regularly with soap and water.
🤝 Avoid sharing towels, handkerchiefs, or personal items.
🩺 Seek medical advice if symptoms of conjunctivitis appear.

📢 Earthquake Drill 2026

In support of the 2026 Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) with the theme, “Duck, Cover, and Hold: Gawin Dapat, Pero Hindi Sapat,” Kalumboyan Rural Farm School successfully conducted an earthquake drill today to strengthen disaster preparedness and promote a culture of safety among learners, teachers, and staff.

The activity aimed to enhance awareness and readiness in responding to earthquake emergencies by practicing the proper safety procedures before, during, and after an earthquake.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our DRRM Coordinator Ma'am Carmelita F. Cadapan for the leadership, guidance, and dedication in ensuring the successful conduct of this important activity.
