Eid al-Fitr marks the end of Ramadan, a month of fasting, prayer, and self-discipline, and serves as a time for reflection, gratitude, and renewed devotion to Allah.

Recognized as a regular holiday in the Philippines, Eid begins with special prayers, followed by gatherings, shared meals, and heartfelt greetings. Central to the celebration is zakat al-fitr, highlighting generosity and compassion for others.

The Metamorphosis and Banyuhay join in this occasion, wishing our Muslim brothers and sisters peace, strengthened faith, and abundant blessings as they carry forward the values of Ramadan.

‎Promoting awareness and shared responsibility in advancing gender equality, students from Pangasinan State University – Laboratory High School (PSU–LHS) broadened their understanding of gender issues after attending the “Men Standing Up for Women” Symposium at the Balon Bayambang Events Center on March 12, held in celebration of National Women’s Month.
‎
‎Representatives from the local government, youth leaders, community members, and students from different schools joined the event, taking part in discussions that emphasized that promoting women’s rights is a joint effort, not solely the role of women.
‎
‎In a message delivered on behalf of Hon. Niña Jose Quiambao, the audience was reminded that the goal of feminism is not to strengthen women—because they are already strong—but to change how society recognizes that strength.
‎
‎Opening the program, Municipal Administrator Atty. Rodelynn Rajini Sagarino-Vidad highlighted the importance of the symposium’s theme, stressing that supporting women’s rights requires men to actively advocate fairness and respect alongside women.
‎
‎Serving as the symposium’s resource speaker, Dr. Presley V. De Vera discussed key concepts in Gender and Development (GAD), including s*x, gender, and the framework of S*xual Orientation, Gender Identity, Gender Expression, and S*x Characteristics (SOGIESC). She also addressed common gender stereotypes and how societal expectations shape gender roles in communities.

‎“Every individual has their own identity and way of expressing themselves,” De Vera explained, emphasizing that understanding these differences fosters a more inclusive and respectful society.
‎
‎Youth representation was also present during the event, with SK Federation President John Roy Jalac expressing support for initiatives that promote gender equality and awareness among young people.
‎
‎The symposium served as a platform for dialogue and reflection, reinforcing the message that achieving gender equality requires collective effort, understanding, and active participation from all sectors of society.

In line with the celebration of Fire Prevention Month 2026, students of Pangasinan State University–Laboratory High School (PSU–LHS) triumphed in the Poster- and Slogan-Making competitions held at Bayambang National High School on March 9, 2026.

With the theme “𝐒𝐚 𝐏𝐚𝐠-𝐢𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐬𝐚 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐨𝐠, 𝐇𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐢 𝐊𝐚 𝐍𝐚𝐠-𝐢𝐢𝐬𝐚” (In Fire Prevention, You Are Not Alone), the following delegates showed expertise in their respective categories:

Today, February 25, we remember the day when Filipinos showed bravery and heroism as they stood for the country’s freedom and democracy against oppression — the EDSA People Power Revolution.

The EDSA Revolution was not silent — it was loud. It was desperate. It was courageous.

As our fellow Filipinos chose to fight for their human rights and the country’s freedom from dictatorship, may this historical event be a guiding light for every Filipino. Let it not be just a chapter in our history books nor a date we remember only in passing.

The EDSA Philippine People’s Power Revolution is not merely a memory but a continuing call to protect democracy, defend truth, and uphold the freedoms that were bravely fought for.

Never again. Never forget.

Our hearts swell with pride as we celebrate the remarkable achievements of our campus journalists at the 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 held at Bayambang National High School!

Leading the charge is 𝑴𝒆𝒕𝒂𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒑𝒉𝒐𝒔𝒊𝒔, which was officially recognized as the Best School Paper in the Secondary Level (English Category) after securing first place in News, Sports, and Sci-Tech, along with podium finishes in Features, Layout, and Opinion. Our Filipino publication, 𝑩𝒂𝒏𝒚𝒖𝒉𝒂𝒚, also demonstrated excellence with strong rankings in the News and Layout categories.

Beyond the publications, our delegates showcased their brilliance in the individual and group arenas. To all our writers, artists, editors, and broadcasters: your dedication to the craft and your commitment to the truth make the PSU-LHS community incredibly proud.

𝐑𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐬 𝐍𝐨𝐭 𝐃𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠

Every December 30, we light candles. But Rizal was never meant to be remembered in silence.

He lives in margins—in books dog-eared by students who question too much, in classrooms where truth is inconvenient, in streets where injustice still knows how to walk freely.

Rizal did not die to be framed. He died so Filipinos would learn how to look back and then look forward without fear.

His pen was not gentle. It cut through comfort, unmasked cruelty, and forced a nation to recognize itself in its own reflection—wounded, yet capable of becoming whole.

Today, his ghost does not ask for flowers. He asks for courage. For voices that refuse to whisper, for minds that choose to awaken rather than obey.

Rizal is not a chapter we close. He is a question we keep answering. So remember him not by standing still— but by moving, thinking, resisting, loving this country loudly.

They say the world did not stop the night Jesus was born—but I think it hesitated.

Somewhere between darkness and dawn, a child cried for the first time, and the sound was so small that only the poor, the tired, and the awake could hear it. No one announced His arrival. No bells rang. The powerful slept through it. Yet heaven leaned closer, as if afraid to miss the moment when God chose to become breakable.

He was born into borrowed space, wrapped in whatever love could be found. Mary counted His breaths. Joseph learned how to be brave without knowing how. Outside, the world continued—unaware that everything had just changed.

Years later—centuries later—Christmas nights still carry that first cry. It slips through windows and settles into homes where people gather with more history than certainty. Chairs are pulled closer. Some remain empty, kept as quiet memorials. No one mentions them, but everyone knows.

Food is served, not because it is plenty, but because sharing feels like remembering. Laughter arrives late, cautious at first, then honest. Stories circle the room, worn thin from retelling, yet necessary. In these moments, people unknowingly repeat Bethlehem—choosing to stay, choosing to love, choosing warmth over silence.

Jesus was born not to end suffering, but to enter it. To sit beside it. To show the world that divinity could fit inside human hands and still choose gentleness. That love could arrive without force and remain without demand.

And so, every Christmas, His birth continues—not in stars or sermons, but in the spaces people refuse to abandon. In families that gather despite fractures. In forgiveness offered quietly. In hope passed like bread from one hand to another.

The first cry has long faded, but its echo remains.

It lives in every table where love is imperfect but present. In every heart that still believes light can begin small. In every Christmas night when time pauses—just long enough—for God to be born again among us.
