Little People’s School, Incorporated (LPS) was founded on January 7, 1977 by Mrs. Ventura invited children of preschoo

l age to her then newly built house in Anos, Los Baños, Laguna, for she was quite concerned for their safety while they were playing on the railroad. Her first informal class had 7 pupils in the living room of her house located in a 480 m2 lot. It was affiliated with the National Federation of Women’s Clubs of the Philippines in June 1978, then started operating under DECS in 1980. Ventura was the only teacher for most of the years when LPS was in Los Baños before it was transferred to San Isidro, Bay, Laguna in 1985 in a 5,000 m2 lot with pre-elementary and elementary grades. Ventura’s family as founding members and trustees. High School started in 1992. In 2002, department heads were appointed. Today, LPS has a one-hectare campus with another adjacent one and a half hectare-lot for future expansion, with five buildings, more than 600 students and 36 teachers and support employees.
