𝗠𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗧 𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗔 𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗛𝗜𝗚𝗛 𝗦𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗢𝗟 𝗝𝗢𝗜𝗡𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗤𝗨𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗪𝗜𝗗𝗘 𝗦𝗜𝗠𝗨𝗟𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗘𝗢𝗨𝗦 𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗛𝗤𝗨𝗔𝗞𝗘 𝗗𝗥𝗜𝗟 (𝗡𝗦𝗘𝗗)

In support of the 2nd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) held on June 18, 2026, Mount Data National High School actively participated in the nationwide initiative aimed at strengthening disaster preparedness and promoting a culture of safety and resilience among learners and personnel.

Following the successful conduct of the earthquake drill, Mrs. Ayleen T. Dayao, School DRRM Co-Coordinator, facilitated a post-drill briefing where she highlighted the significance of regular disaster preparedness activities in ensuring the safety of everyone in the school community. She reinforced the proper actions to take before, during, and after an earthquake and reminded learners and personnel of the important "Do's and Don'ts" that can help prevent injuries and save lives during actual emergency situations.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Leonor Guinoden, School Nurse, provided important reminders on basic emergency response and the necessary actions to take should casualties occur during an actual earthquake or disaster situation.

The activity served as a valuable opportunity for learners, teachers, and staff to practice the "Duck, Cover, and Hold" procedure and reinforce the importance of remaining calm, alert, and prepared during emergencies.

Preparedness saves lives. Together, let us continue building a safer, more resilient, and disaster-ready school community.

From Summer Break to School Days: MDNHS Comes Alive Again!

The gym of Mount Data National High School came alive with excitement, hope, and renewed energy as students, teachers, parents, and stakeholders gathered for the "Opening of Classes Program" , marking the official start of another promising school year.

Held on the first day of classes, the short yet meaningful program served as a warm welcome to both returning and new learners. The event aimed to orient students on important school policies, introduce key personnel, and inspire everyone to embrace the opportunities and challenges of the academic year ahead.

The program commenced with an opening prayer led by Elvira A. Daysa, followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem under the guidance of Jeda D. Walisen and the rendition of the Cordillera Hymn led by Ayleen G. Dayao. The atmosphere became more vibrant as Jerry Warren G. Polawes entertained the audience with a lively dance presentation, energizing the crowd for the activities ahead.

One of the highlights of the program was the roll call of Grade Levels, which officially welcomed students from both Junior High School and Senior High School. This was followed by the "Welcome Remarks and Inspirational Message" delivered by School Principal Juan N. Pisilen, who encouraged learners to pursue excellence, maintain discipline, and develop values that will guide them toward success.

“Education is not only about gaining knowledge but also about building character and preparing ourselves for the future,” Principal Pisilen emphasized during his message.

The principal also introduced the teaching force of both the Junior High School and Senior High School departments, allowing students to become acquainted with the educators who will guide them throughout the year.

To help learners understand the direction of the school under the MATATAG Curriculum, Anielyn L. Bilalat and Ramielyn G. Bangao provided a brief orientation on the Learning System Reform Policies for JHS and SHS, respectively. Important information regarding school regulations was likewise discussed by Jocelyn P. Cogasi, while school nurse Leonor T. Guinoden addressed health and safety concerns to ensure the well-being of students.

Enrollment and admission-related matters were also clarified by Mary Grace Wacnag, helping learners and parents better understand school procedures and requirements.

As the program drew to a close, Concepcion L. Palangyos delivered the closing remarks, expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to the successful opening of classes and encouraging learners to make the most of the school year. The gathering concluded with a closing prayer led by Daisy P. Dusalen.

Serving as the Master of Ceremonies was Charity Joy D. Paleyan, who guided the flow of the program smoothly and effectively.

The successful conduct of the Opening of Classes Program reflected Mount Data National High School’s commitment to creating a welcoming, safe, and learner-centered environment. As students embark on another academic journey, the event served as a reminder that every school year brings fresh opportunities to learn, grow, and achieve new milestones.
