Embrace and Reach International Holds Youth Health Awareness Seminar in Tagbilaran City College

California-based community organization Embrace and Reach International, alongside Youth With A Mission (YWAM), partnered with Tagbilaran City College (TCC) yesterday to host a transformative health seminar for student leaders and volunteers.

The event took place on July 17, 2026, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at the TCC EdTech. Organized in collaboration with the TCC Center for Community Extension, Engagement, Linkages, and Internationalization (TCC-CCEELI), the seminar carried the theme, "Healthy in Body, Mind, Spirit and Beyond."

Empowering Youth Through Critical Topics
The afternoon sessions focused heavily on vital aspects of holistic wellness and youth development. Expert speakers addressed critical contemporary challenges through four core topic areas:
• Mental Health Awareness
• Su***de Prevention
• Loss and Grief
• Relational Boundaries and Well-being

Expert Speakers Share Global Insights
Embrace and Reach International—a California organization uniting church leaders, healthcare workers, retired law enforcement officers, and business experts—brought an elite team of global professionals to address the students:
• Rev. John Hansen, BA, M. Div., provided spiritual and ethical frameworks for holistic health.
• Geraldine B. Emperador, MD, and John Joseph L. Pariñal, MD, delivered essential medical insights into mental and physical wellness.
• Emmy Verar, M.A, U.S.RN, MPCC, ECE II, a US-registered nurse and grief counselor, offered specialized guidance on handling loss and establishing healthy relationship boundaries.

Dynamic Collaboration and Leadership
The event's smooth ex*****on relied on dedicated youth facilitators and campus directors. Jhona E. Galido, Jackielou B. Galbo, and Nicole Andrea Padicio from Youth With A Mission actively facilitated the sessions alongside Dorothy A. Lopena, the Director of TCC-CCEELI.

A diverse, cross-functional coalition of student leadership and volunteerism groups attended the seminar, including:
• TCC-CCEELI Dagyaw Volunteers
• Tzu Chi Youth and Red Cross Volunteers
• KASIKAS student writers
• Supreme Student Council officers
• Higala Volunteers

The participating student leaders and volunteers gained critical, hands-on knowledge to navigate personal and social struggles. Organizers noted that the seminar successfully reinforced the central TCC-CCEELI institutional mission: "Navigating Achievers by paying it forward and giving back."

🌾 PARTNERSHIP THAT NURTURES HOPE & DIGNITY 🌾

Tagbilaran City College (TCC) expresses its deepest gratitude to the Tzu Chi Foundation for their invaluable partnership and generous provision of rice and nutritional assistance.

Today, June 27, 2026, Tzu Chi representatives personally turned over their donation to support the TCC School Clinic Pantry.

The turnover included:

5 packs of 10-kilo rice to support student well-being.(monthly)
20 packs of Jing Si Multi-Grain Instant Mix, carefully prepared in Taiwan (one time/according to availability)

Tzu Chi’s commitment significantly helps our students pursue their academic aspirations with hope and dignity. This unwavering support reflects our shared dedication to uplifting lives through education and community service, inspiring TCC to continue fostering a caring and inclusive learning environment.
