Who Can Apply?

- Active DepEd teaching personnel
- Retired professional teachers
- LET-passers/LET-eligible applicants

- Students currently enrolled in a teacher education degree program

Agos Elementary School, Bato District successfully conducted the 2nd Quarter Calendar Year (CY) 2026 Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) today, June 18, 2026, as part of the school's continuing commitment to disaster preparedness and the promotion of a culture of safety among learners and school personnel.

The activity was spearheaded by Mr. Salvador G. Ramboyong, School Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Coordinator, with the active participation of the teaching staff and school learners. The drill aimed to enhance the readiness of the school community in responding appropriately during earthquake emergencies.

Upon the sounding of the earthquake alarm, learners and teachers promptly executed the standard "Duck, Cover, and Hold" procedure inside their respective classrooms. After the simulated shaking ceased, participants calmly and orderly proceeded to the designated evacuation area while observing safety protocols.

The conduct of the drill provided learners and personnel with practical experience in emergency response, helping them develop awareness, preparedness, and confidence in handling potential earthquake situations. It also served as an opportunity to assess the effectiveness of the school's emergency plans and evacuation procedures.

Through activities such as the Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill, Agos Elementary School continues to strengthen its disaster preparedness initiatives and ensure the safety and well-being of every member of the school community.

Agos Elementary School formally welcomed learners, parents, teachers, and stakeholders as it officially opened School Year 2026–2027 through a meaningful and inspiring Opening of Classes Program held today.

The program commenced with a solemn Flag Raising Ceremony, symbolizing unity, patriotism, and the collective commitment of the school community toward another productive academic year. This was followed by an orientation on the Department of Education's Three-Term Scheme, providing learners and parents with important information regarding the new academic structure and its implementation.

Adding significance to the occasion was the presence of personnel from the Philippine National Police (PNP) Bato, who expressed their full support for the opening of classes. They also delivered important reminders to both learners and faculty members regarding anti-bullying measures, child protection, and the importance of observing the Data Privacy Act, especially in safeguarding the welfare and rights of school children.

The opening program was further graced by the presence of our esteemed and dynamic Public Schools District Supervisor Dr. Eleanor S. Bello, who also served as the former school head of Agos Elementary School. In her inspiring message, she encouraged learners to pursue excellence, teachers to continue their dedication to quality education, and parents to remain active partners in their children's learning journey. Following her address, she personally visited the classrooms and observe the school's readiness for the new school year.

One of the highlights of the program was the distribution of school supplies to learners through the generosity of the SK Federation of the Municipality of Bato, spearheaded by its Federation President, Hon. Marian Joyce Dancalan Nuyda.

This meaningful initiative was made possible through the efforts and support of the SK Chairperson of Barangay Agos, Hon. John Albert Peña Agrade.

The donated school supplies will greatly assist learners as they begin their educational journey this school year.

The entire school community through its school head Sir Salvador Sergio Docot extends its deepest gratitude to all individuals and organizations who contributed to the success of the school's opening activities. The school sincerely thank the Public Schools District Supervisor, the Philippine National Police Bato, the SK Federation of the Municipality of Bato, the Barangay Local Government Unit of Agos, parents, stakeholders, and all partners whose unwavering support continues to strengthen our mission of providing quality, inclusive, and learner-centered education.

Agos Elementary School successfully concluded its week-long Brigada Eskwela and Enrollment 2026 activities today, culminating in significant improvements to school facilities, updated enrollment records, and a meaningful orientation for parents and guardians on the Language Mapping Program.

As the final day of Brigada Eskwela came to a close, volunteers, parents, stakeholders, and school personnel celebrated the completion of several school improvement initiatives. Among the accomplishments highlighted were the successful repainting of classroom walls and door grills, which enhanced the overall appearance of the school and created a more welcoming and learner-friendly environment for the opening of classes on June 8, 2026.

Simultaneously, the last day of enrollment was closely monitored by teachers from every grade level. Enrollment data were updated and validated to ensure that all learners were properly registered and prepared for the start of the new school year. The collaborative efforts of teachers and parents contributed to the smooth and organized conduct of the enrollment process.

One of the major highlights of the day's activities was the Language Mapping Orientation conducted for parents and guardians of learners from Kindergarten to Grade 3. The orientation aimed to inform parents about the importance of identifying learners' first language and its role in supporting literacy development and effective instruction under the Mother Tongue-Based and Multilingual Education framework.

The orientation was spearheaded by School Head Mr. Salvador S. Docot and School Brigada Eskwela Coordinator and Reading Coordinator Mrs. Liezle B. Elcarte, with the support of the Kindergarten to Grade 3 Class Advisers. During the session, parents and guardians were guided on the language mapping process and its significance in helping the school provide appropriate and responsive educational interventions for young learners.

The successful conclusion of Brigada Eskwela and Enrollment 2026 once again demonstrated the power of bayanihan and community partnership in creating a safe, inclusive, and conducive learning environment for every Batang Agos.

As Agos Elementary School prepares to welcome learners for the opening of classes on Monday, June 8, 2026, the school community remains committed to its shared vision of providing accessible, quality, and learner-centered education for all.

Agos Elementary School successfully carried out the fourth day of Brigada Eskwela 2026, marked by the continued dedication of parents, volunteers, and school personnel in preparing the school for the opening of classes on June 8, 2026.

Parents and community volunteers actively participated in the clean-up and maintenance of the school vicinity. Their collective efforts helped ensure that the school grounds remain safe, clean, and conducive to learning for all learners.

Meanwhile, the ongoing repainting of indoor and outdoor walls continued to transform various areas of the school, giving classrooms and school facilities a fresh and welcoming appearance. Volunteers and school personnel devoted their time and effort to beautification activities that will greatly contribute to creating a positive learning atmosphere for learners.

Classroom preparation was also one of the major priorities during the day's activities. Class advisers were observed cleaning and organizing their respective classrooms, ensuring that learning spaces are ready, comfortable, and learner-friendly before the start of regular classes.

One of the highlights of the fourth day was the generous donation of cleaning materials from Nurse Shara Bo-Toniza, who donated pails, dippers, and bottles of Zonrox to support the school's sanitation and maintenance efforts. These materials will significantly aid in maintaining cleanliness and promoting a healthy school environment for both learners and personnel.

The school extends its heartfelt gratitude to Nurse Shara for her generosity and commitment to supporting education. Agos Elementary School also thanks all parents, volunteers, stakeholders, and teaching personnel who continue to contribute their time, effort, and resources to the success of Brigada Eskwela 2026.

As the week-long activity nears its conclusion, Agos Elementary School remains inspired by the overwhelming support of the community, proving that through unity, volunteerism, and shared responsibility, a brighter and more promising future can be built for every Batang Agos. 🥰🙏
