Who says you can’t learn a new language at 40?
Meet one of my private students, Mr. P****er. He’s a manager and also runs his own small business. We started learning English together nine months ago. It was a challenge for him at first because of his limited vocabulary and poor listening skills.
We began by improving his listening and slowly building up his vocabulary. Since then, he’s come a long way! He has mastered words like overwhelmed, confused, attend, and many others that are super useful in everyday conversations.
I’ve been using the PPP method (Presentation, Practice, Production) in our lessons — and it’s working! He’s still learning the ropes, but his progress has been amazing thanks to his consistency and determination.
So yes, don’t let age stop you from learning English. It’s possible — and it can even be fun!
