Today, June 18, 2026, at exactly 9:00 a.m., Tibig Elementary School actively participated in the 2nd Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) as part of its continuing commitment to disaster preparedness and school safety.

Learners, teachers, and school personnel demonstrated the proper “Duck, Cover, and Hold” procedure and safely proceeded to their designated evacuation areas during the drill. The activity aimed to strengthen awareness, preparedness, and responsiveness in the event of an actual earthquake.

A significant highlight of today's drill was the use of the school's newly installed alarm bell system, which served as the official emergency signal. This new facility will greatly enhance the school's capability to promptly alert learners and personnel during earthquake drills, emergencies, and other school safety activities.

Through regular disaster preparedness programs, Tibig Elementary School continues to promote a culture of safety, resilience, and readiness among all members of the school community.

Tibig Elementary School successfully conducted an unannounced earthquake drill on June 11, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. as part of Project READY (Ready Environment and Disaster Preparedness among Young Learners).

The activity provided learners and school personnel with the opportunity to practice proper earthquake response procedures, including “Duck, Cover, and Hold” and safe evacuation. Through this drill, students strengthened their awareness, preparedness, and ability to respond effectively during emergencies.
