An engaging and informative Values Enrichment Seminar was held at the LIMA AVR, May 14. Anchoring the theme, “Ready for the Voyage: Mental Health, Addiction, & Resilience at Sea”, this activity facilitated by the LIMA Department and Stella Maris-Batangas became a meaningful platform for learning, reflection, and awareness.

Our future mariners listened to valuable insights from our guest speakers from The Nazareth Formation House namely Mr. Renz Dave P. Albay, RPsy and Mr. Jose Pacaldo III, RN who highlighted the overview of the different forms of addiction and the ways and means to overcome them. They also tackled about mental wellness and the importance of emotional resilience in the maritime profession.

Our sincere appreciation to all the 3rd Year cadets who actively participated in making this seminar impactful and inspiring. Together, we continue to build not only competent seafarers, but mentally resilient individuals ready to navigate life both on land and at sea. 🌊✨
