Leadership, service, and justice converge as we celebrate Womenโs Month with purpose and pride. LPU-Batangas, through the College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE), in partnership with the Gender and Development (GAD) Office, honors women in public service who continue to uplift Filipino lives through transformative leadership.
At the forefront of this celebration is Senator Risa Hontiveros, Chairperson of the Senate Committee on Women, Children, Family Relations, and Gender Equality, a steadfast advocate and principal author of landmark legislation advancing the protection, rights, and empowerment of women and marginalized sectors.
Joining this distinguished lineup is Undersecretary Georgina Ann Hernandez-Yang of the Office of the Executive Secretary under the Office of the President, a former national leader of anti-poverty and education initiatives and 2025 The Outstanding Women in the Nationโs Service (TOWNS) Awardee, whose work in governance and development continues to advance inclusive and transformative nation-building.
Sharing the platform is Atty. Ma. Soledad Deriquito-Mawis, Dean of LPU's College of Law, who brings valuable legal expertise and academic leadership to the conversation on justice and gender-responsive governance.
Let us come together in celebrating women whose leadership continues to shape a more just, inclusive, and empowered society.
