Stepping into a new era of compassion and understanding, we had the pleasure of meeting our very own Ma'am Odessa "OJ" Bagos, our new esteemed Office of the Guidance Counseling Head, for a courtesy call that filled our office with warmth and promise.

In the delicate dance of introductions and shared visions with selected Officers of Gabay Malasakit Volunteer - Batangas State University The NEU Pablo Borbon, Ma'am Oj's genuine dedication to fostering a supportive and empathetic environment shone brightly. The Gabay Malasakit Volunteer - Batangas State University The NEU Pablo Borbon conducted it's second awarding ceremony for its "Most Diligent Peer Facilitator" this 4th day of December, 2023 at Tower of Wisdom of Batangas State University The NEU - Pablo Borbon Campus. Wherein, twenty-four (24) students from different colleges of Batangas State University The NEU- Pablo Borbon and its extension campuses were awarded. The said program was spearheaded by the Head of Pablo Borbon Office of Guidance and Counseling , Dr. Rhia P. Perez, together with the presence of the Deans of the colleges, Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance, and the ever supportive Chancellor, Dr. Expedito V. Acorda.

A wholehearted congratulations volunteers, may we continue to uphold our core mission and to foster the culture of care.

Today, we celebrate the 35th World AIDS Day with the theme, 'Remember and Commit.'

The virus known as human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) targets the immune system of the body. AIDS, or acquired immunodeficiency syndrome, is the disease's most advanced stage.

HIV attacks white blood cells in the body, impairing immunity. This increases the risk of contracting infections, some malignancies, and diseases like tuberculosis.

HIV can spread through bodily fluids such as blood, breast milk, semen, and vaginal secretions from an infected individual. It cannot be transmitted by sharing meals, hugs, or kisses. Additionally, it can pass from a mother to her child.

Antiretroviral therapy is a treatment and prevention strategy for HIV (ART). HIV can develop into AIDS if left untreated, frequently years later.

As we enter the week of ANTI-BULLYING, we encourage every individual, particularly the youth, teachers, and parents, to speak up against bullying, seek help when needed and be proactive in creating a safer environment in their schools and communities.

Perez, commemorate it's 1st ever conduct of Peer Facilitators' Training for Gabay Malasakit Program with the theme "Fostering and Integrating Culture of Care in Red Spartan Community" held last November 10, 2022 at 7th floor, Multimedia Room, CIRTC Bldg. Batangas State University The National Engineering University Pablo Borbon Campus.
