The Electoral Board of the Circle of Psychology Students officially announces the results of the special run-off election for the position of 2nd Year Representative under COPS Elections—𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 for the Academic Year 2026–2027.

Congratulations to the newly elected 2nd Year Representative of the Circle of Psychology Students, 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻 𝗝𝗼𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗹!

Out of 162 total votes, Justin Joy Madrigal received 51.20% of the total votes and is now officially elected as the 2nd Year Representative.

May your term be guided by service, dedication, and commitment in serving the COPS Pamilya.

With the recent conclusion of the organization's regular elections, both Second-Year Representative candidates, Madrigal and Layon, garnered 83 votes each, resulting in a tie.

Upon careful deliberation, the Electoral Board hereby announces a special runoff election for the position of Second-Year Representative of the Circle of Psychology Students A.Y. 2026-2027.

The special runoff election will be held on June 17, 2026, with the announcement of results following immediately. Further details regarding voting procedures and schedules will be released by the Electoral Board.

All incoming second-year students are strongly encouraged to exercise their right to vote. The runoff election will determine who will be the official Second Year Representative for the next academic year.

The position for 2nd Year Representative resulted in a tie between 𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧 𝐉𝐨𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐥 of SINAG Party and 𝐉𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐥 𝐋𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐧 of PRIMUS Party, who both garnered 44.6% of the total votes. As a result, tie-breaking procedures will be further announced by the electoral board.

The election results underscore the confidence of the student body in their chosen leaders, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the Circle of Psychology Students’ governance and student engagement. This marks the beginning of another chapter of service, commitment, and excellence. May your term be filled with purpose, impact, and change! 🙌
