There’s always something to work on, something to build, or somewhere else to be. But one thing we hope never gets lost in all of that is the time you make for the people who matter to you. Seeing how much you value family is a good reminder that success isn’t only about what we’re able to build for ourselves, but also who we get to share it with.

So for today, no need to think too far ahead. Enjoy the food, the people, the laughs, and whatever little things make the day feel like a good one.

From being an Assistant Treasurer to serving as Treasurer, you’ve been part of the people who helped shape ACerES into what it is today. Years may have passed, but your time, effort, and the memories you left behind are still things we’re glad to remember and treasure.

In ceramics, we learn early that the final product is shaped long before we see it. Composition matters. Conditions matter. And so does making sure every part of the process stays on course.

A College of Engineering works in much the same way. Behind the students, laboratories, projects, and different disciplines is a network of decisions and responsibilities that keeps everything moving in the same direction.

As we celebrate your birthday, the Association of Ceramic Engineering Students recognizes the work that happens behind the scenes in leading the College. May the year ahead bring good health, good days, and perhaps a little time to enjoy the results of all that work.

𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗢𝗬 𝗔𝗤𝗨𝗜𝗡𝗢 𝗗𝗔𝗬 | 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟮𝟭, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

Benigno ‘Ninoy’ Aquino is often remembered for having the courage to speak when silence was easier. But perhaps his story asks something more of us today.

In a country where corruption remains a public concern, political power is constantly contested, and misinformation can shape how we understand the issues around us, staying informed is no longer just a choice. Neither is asking questions.

Public office is meant to serve the public. Democracy gives us a voice. But what happens when we stop using that voice to question the people and institutions entrusted with our country?

And so, perhaps after all these years, the question remains:

Break’s officially over, which means it’s time to get back to the usual routine—classes, early mornings, and everything that comes with it.

Before you walk through those gates, though, make sure you’ve got the basics covered. Don’t forget your ID, check the dress code, and boys, maybe take those earrings off before heading to school. As for the hair color… you might want to think twice about that too. The guards are pretty strict, and we’d rather have you make it past the gate than spend the morning explaining yourself. 👀
