Dahil sa patuloy na malakas na pag-ulan, at batay sa assessment at rekomendasyon ng City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO),sa pakikipag-ugnayan sa DepEd Schools Division Office (SDO) – Batangas City SUSPENDIDO ang face-to-face classes mula Preschool hanggang College sa lahat ng pampubliko at pribadong paaralan, kolehiyo, at unibersidad sa Lungsod ng Batangas bukas, Agosto 19, 2026 (Miyerkules).

Sa halip, ipatutupad ang Online/Modular Distance Learning, alinsunod sa umiiral na mga polisiya at learning modalities ng bawat paaralan.

𝗪𝗘𝗔𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘 | As of 2:00 AM today, 18 August 2026, the Low Pressure Area (LPA 08f) is being monitored inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and now has a “HIGH” chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.

Meanwhile, another Low Pressure Area (LPA 08g) is being monitored outside the PAR and has a “MEDIUM” chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.

All are advised to monitor updates from DOST-PAGASA.

Dahil sa patuloy na matinding pag-ulan at malalakas na hangin, pinapaalalahanan ang lahat na unahin ang kaligtasan. Iwasan muna ang paglabas ng bahay kung hindi naman kinakailangan. Siguraduhing naka-charge ang mga cellphone, may sapat na pagkain at tubig, at handa ang emergency kit. Mag-ingat din sa posibleng pagbaha at pagguho ng lupa. Sama-sama tayong maging alerto at magdasal para sa kaligtasan ng lahat.
