Dahil sa patuloy na malakas na pag-ulan, at batay sa assessment at rekomendasyon ng City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO),sa pakikipag-ugnayan sa DepEd Schools Division Office (SDO) – Batangas City SUSPENDIDO ang face-to-face classes mula Preschool hanggang College sa lahat ng pampubliko at pribadong paaralan, kolehiyo, at unibersidad sa Lungsod ng Batangas bukas, Agosto 19, 2026 (Miyerkules).

Sa halip, ipatutupad ang Online/Modular Distance Learning, alinsunod sa umiiral na mga polisiya at learning modalities ng bawat paaralan.

Nine Scout Leaders of Banaba West Elementary School Attend Safeguarding Policy Orientation

BANABA WEST ELEMENTARY SCHOOL — Nine Scout Leaders from Banaba West Elementary School actively participated in a Safeguarding Policy Orientation, strengthening their commitment to ensuring the safety, welfare, and protection of learners during scouting activities.

The activity provided the Scout Leaders with essential knowledge on safeguarding principles, particularly on preventing abuse, violence, exploitation, discrimination, bullying, and other forms of harm against children. This is consistent with the DepEd Child Protection Policy under DepEd Order No. 40, s. 2012, which promotes a safe and child-friendly learning environment.

Through the knowledge and skills gained from the safeguarding orientation, the Scout Leaders are expected to become more vigilant in protecting the rights and welfare of every Scout and to help foster an environment founded on respect, responsibility, discipline, inclusivity, and safety.

The activity also reinforces the school's commitment that the safety and well-being of every learner must always remain a shared responsibility among school personnel, Scout Leaders, parents, and the community.

Congratulations to our 9 scout leaders and to our Troop Advisers in activity participating to aimed and sustain the initiatives already started in Scouting and to strengthen the participants’ knowledge and skills through attentive listening during the training conducted by the BSP Batangas City Council!!!

Alinsunod sa DepEd Order No. 14, s. 2026, ipinatutupad ang HINAY (Ease In) Policy upang matiyak ang kaligtasan at kapakanan ng mga mag-aaral.

Dahil sa epekto ng Habagat, maaaring ipatupad ang Modular Learning bilang pansamantalang learning arrangement, kung kinakailangan, upang maipagpatuloy ang pagkatuto habang inuuna ang kaligtasan at kapakanan ng lahat.

Hinihikayat ang lahat na maging maingat, manatiling alerto, at laging handa.

ANG BANABA WEST ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AY BUONG SIGASIG NA NAKIKIISA SA PAGDIRIWANG NG NATIONAL HISTORY MONTH 2026 🇵🇭

Sa pagdiriwang na may temang “Hinubog ng Bayan, Dinuyan ng Alon,” muling binibigyang-halaga ang makulay at makabuluhang kasaysayan, kultura, tradisyon, at mga karanasang naging bahagi ng paghubog sa ating pagka-Pilipino.

Sa pamamagitan ng patuloy na pagtalakay, pag-aaral, at pagpapahalaga sa ating nakaraan, nagkakaroon ng pagkakataon ang ating mga kabataan na maunawaan ang mga aral ng kasaysayan at maiugnay ang mga ito sa kanilang kasalukuyan at kinabukasan. Nawa’y magsilbi itong inspirasyon upang patuloy nilang mahalin, pahalagahan, pangalagaan, at ipagmalaki ang ating bansa at ang ating pagiging Pilipino.

Ang Banaba West Elementary School ay kaisa ng buong sambayanang Pilipino sa pagpapanatili, pagpapayaman, at pagpapasa ng ating kasaysayan at kultura sa kasalukuyan at sa mga susunod pang henerasyon. Sapagkat ang pagkilala sa ating nakaraan ay susi sa paghubog ng isang mas makabuluhan at maunlad na kinabukasan.

Banaba West Elementary School Holds Meaningful Holy Mass

BANABA WEST ELEMENTARY SCHOOL — In a spirit of faith, unity, and thanksgiving, Banaba West Elementary School gathered its learners, teachers, and school personnel for a meaningful Holy Mass held within the school premises and presided over by Father Sam D. Titular of Sta. Rita de Cascia Parish Church.

The celebration provided the school community with an opportunity to come together in prayer, seek spiritual guidance, and strengthen the values of faith, compassion, gratitude, and service. Father Sam shared an inspiring message encouraging everyone, especially the learners, to live out good values and become responsible and compassionate members of the community.

The Holy Mass also highlighted the importance of nurturing not only the academic growth of learners but also their spiritual and moral development. Through this meaningful celebration, Banaba West Elementary School reaffirmed its commitment to holistic education and values formation.

Please be informed that tomorrow will be a Modular Distance Learning Day.

Our classrooms were temporarily used as evacuation rooms and are still undergoing cleaning and disinfection. For the safety of our learners, face-to-face classes will temporarily shift to modular learning.

Teachers will ensure that all necessary learning activities will be given to the learners tomorrow.
