In celebration of the Christmas season 🎄and the importance of caring for the environment, Tinga Sorosoro Integrated School conducted a Recycled Christmas Tree-Making Contest. The event was made possible through the leadership of School Principal Sir Julius Arguelles, the guidance of YES-O Adviser Ma’am Angelita Aguda, and the support of YES-O Officers. 💚

Students from different grade levels actively participated and showcased their creativity by making Christmas trees from recycled and reusable materials. Their entries demonstrated not only talent and effort but also conveyed a powerful message: even simple, used items can be transformed into something beautiful and meaningful.

We would like to thank our judges from ADAS: Mrs. Alyssa Marie B. Espina, Ms. Francine D. Festijo, and Ms. Lady Diane Dimasacat. They joined our event and judged attentively, listening to the detailed explanations and messages from nearly 27 participants. Scores were fairly computed by our math teachers – Ma’am Cristilene Magbojos, Ma’am Kimberly Dalisay, and Sir Ariel Reyes. We also extend our gratitude to our Science teachers – Ma’am Marivic Jocenia, Ma’am Analyn Reyes, Ma’am Jubelyn Cultura, and Ma’am Anabelle Hernandez – for helping to execute the event smoothly and formally. 💚

A heartfelt thank you also goes to our host, Ma’am Sarah Montalban, whose extraordinary energy and warm welcome made our event extra cheerful and exciting.

𝑬𝒄𝒐-𝑭𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒍𝒚 𝑪𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒓𝒐𝒐𝒎 🌱

YES-O now checks classroom cleanliness every lunch to build a healthier, eco-friendly learning space for all. This activity was introduced last Monday, July 14, 2025 by our YES-O President Arielle Averie Basabica and Vice President Bhea Ricario with the support of the other officers.

With the help of our beloved principal, Sir Julius D. Arguellies, YES-O Adviser, Ma’am Angelita A. Aguda along with our students and teachers, we were able to launch an activity that ensures our classrooms stay clean. Every lunchtime, rooms are checked and rated from 1 to 3 stars based on their cleanliness.

Every lunchtime, dedicated members of the Youth for Environment School Organization go around to check the cleanliness of each classroom. They observe proper waste disposal, tidiness, and how well students care for their environment. This daily activity aims to encourage responsibility and environmental awareness, starting with the simple habit of keeping one’s own classroom clean.

To recognize the efforts of students, YES-O holds a monthly awarding for the “Cleanest Classroom.” At the end of each month, the winning class is awarded with a certificate. This initiative not only celebrates discipline and teamwork but also inspires all classes to make cleanliness a shared priority.

Through the united efforts of YES-O and the entire school community, we are building a culture of care, discipline, and eco-consciousness. Together, we can create a cleaner, greener, and more responsible school environment!
