Today, the Office of Culture and Arts joins the nation in honoring the 129th anniversary of the martyrdom of Dr. Jose P. Rizal. His courage, intellect, and selflessness in the face of injustice continue to inspire us all.

Rizal’s unwavering devotion to freedom and his dedication to the betterment of the Filipino people remain a powerful reminder of the importance of service, unity, and standing up for what is right.

As we commemorate this monumental day, let us continue to embrace the values of courage, resilience, and patriotism, as we carry his legacy into the future.

As we celebrate this season of hope and reflection, the Office of Culture and Arts extends its warmest Christmas greetings to the university community. May this Christmas bring peace, renewal, and quiet joy to everyone.

On November 6, 2025, the BatStateU The NEU- Alangilan Indak Yaman Dance Varsity, BatStateU The NEU - Rondalla, BatStateU The NEU - Diwayanis Dance Theater, and BatStateU The NEU - Ad Libitum Chorus brought cultural excellence to life at the Presidential Filipinnovation Awards National Competition held at Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria, Ortigas Avenue, Quezon City.

Through rhythm, movement, and harmony, our Red Spartans once again proved that innovation thrives in culture and the arts. ❤️🤍

𝗕𝗮𝘁𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗨 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗘𝗨 𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗠𝗣𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗼𝗳 𝟵𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗦𝗨𝗖 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹

Batangas State University, The National Engineering University (BatStateU The NEU), emerged as the Overall Champion in the 9th Southern Tagalog Regional Association of State Universities and Colleges Culture and the Arts Festival (STRASUC CAF) held at Romblon State University–Odiongan Campus, October 13–17.

Outperforming 11 other SUCs across Southern Tagalog, BatStateU The NEU amassed 119 total points, with stellar performances that earned five golds, four silvers, six bronzes, and multiple top-five finishes—securing a commanding 34-point lead over Southern Luzon State University.

Red Spartan artistry dominated in dance, theater, and visual arts—headlined by double gold victories in Contemporary and Street Dance, a three-peat win in Painting, and championship finishes in Folk Dance and Radio Drama. The university’s Festival King and Queen delegates also brought pride to the banner, while additional wins in musical, dramatic, and visual categories added to the Red Spartan medal haul.

This latest cultural triumph affirms BatStateU The NEU’s legacy of excellence and creativity—a fusion of innovation, artistry, and national pride that continues to lead the region and inspire the nation.

𝗕𝗮𝘁𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗨 – 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗘𝗨 concluded this year’s STRASUC Culture and Arts Festival with a resounding triumph, emerging as the 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻 after garnering a total of 𝟭𝟭𝟵 𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀.

Among the standout wins were 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘄 𝗦. 𝗠𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗼’𝘀 remarkable achievement, clinching his 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗹𝗱 in Painting; 𝗗𝗶𝘄𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿’𝘀 gold victory in Folk Dance; and 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗸 𝗬𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗩𝗮𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆’𝘀 double gold finishes in both Contemporary and Street Dance. The university’s 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗼 𝗔𝗹𝗶𝘄𝗮𝗻, also earned a 𝗴𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 in Radio Drama, solidifying BatStateU’s excellence across artistic disciplines.

Voices resonate as this year’s STRASUC CAF Radio Drama unfolds, bringing to life the stories of SUCs behind the curtain at RSU Odiongan Campus AVR, today.
