Fake news daw na PRC Approved si Canon F789SGA II?
1. Hindi po fake news, approved po ang both versions. Totoo po ang letter at email.
2. Bakit nagkaroon ng issue? Confusing ang naging announcement about the version 2 na pati board of CE ay nalito.
3. Dahil sa confusion, inakala na ang Canon F789SGA II ay bagong model na separate. Kapag separate ang model, dapat itong dumaan sa bagong process of approval.
4. Since actually 2nd edition naman ito, technically approved naman talaga sya, nag antay lang si Canon ng acknowledgement. Nagkaroon ng acknowledgement na tama nga, kapag same model and specs, approved pa rin siya (hindi ilalagay sa list o maglalabas ng bagong memo).
5. Dapat hindi naunahan si Canon Calculators PH Page sa pag aannounce regarding dito.
6. Dahil sa confusion and miscommunications, kinaklaro ulit ni Canon ang tungkol dito sa PRC.

We posted this way before kasi confusing sya for other students. Canon F789SGA II is NOT a new model, new version lang ito same as what other brands are doing. Inuupgrade lang nila pero same pa rin ang functions. Sa list ng allowed calculators ng PRC, wala kang makikitang 2nd edition or version 2 for any brand. Almost all casio calculators have already discontinued their 1st ed calculators and 2nd ed ang ginagamit ng students for board exams. This same applies to Canon F789SGA II. Our actual first calculator product was the Casio 570es plus 2nd edition noong nagrelease sila nito. That time, walang nilabas ang PRC na memo, katulad nang nabanggit sa e-mail,
Please be informed that Resolution No. 1809, S. 2024, does not specify a particular version for non-programmable scientific calculators. Consequently, as long as a non-programmable scientific calculator model is included in the approved list under the aforementioned resolution, any version of that specific model is allowed for use in licensure examinations.
Lahat nang bagong model or brand, kailangang magpaapprove muna sa PRC. May due process kapag BAGO ang model or brand.
