📌 LeX Batangas is now OPEN TO ALL STUDENTS, regardless of academic program, subject to evaluation of relevant skills and competencies aligned with the project objectives.

This adjustment is made in recognition that meaningful participation in LeX Batangas extends beyond program affiliation and values students’ skills, experiences, and capacity to contribute to interdisciplinary and community-based projects.

Impact Assessment of Implemented Extension Programs and Projects for the College of Health Sciences

The University is inviting qualified internal and external evaluators to participate in the Impact Assessment of Extension Programs and Projects.

📌 What is Impact Assessment?
Impact Assessment is a vital component of the project cycle that aims to measure and quantify the significant changes and outcomes of extension programs and projects. It evaluates the impact of interventions on communities and beneficiaries, ensuring accountability, effectiveness, and continuous improvement of extension initiatives.

🔍 Qualifications

We are looking for the following:

✅ Internal Evaluators

Permanent or temporary faculty members

Not from the college and/or campus that implemented the extension program/project

With proven professional competence in the area being assessed

✅ External Evaluators

Permanent faculty members from other SUCs/HEIs or

Personnel from relevant government agencies

Must be trained in impact assessment

We are proud to share the wonderful news that Dr. Daryl M. Magpantay has been elected as a Member of the Board of Directors of the Philippine Higher Education Research Consortium (PHERC). This recognition reflects his strong leadership, commitment to research excellence, and continuous dedication to uplifting the quality of higher education in the country.

Dr. Magpantay represented Batangas State University during the 8th International Higher Education Research Forum (IHERF 2025) held on November 26–28, 2025 at Summit Ridge, Tagaytay. The event brought together leaders, researchers, and educators to advance conversations on innovative research and digital transformation for sustainable higher education. With plenary sessions, seminars, and assemblies throughout the three-day program, the forum served as a meaningful venue for collaboration and growth among institutions nationwide.

We extend our warmest congratulations to Dr. Magpantay and wish him continued success as he contributes to PHERC’s mission of strengthening research culture and capacity across Philippine higher education institutions.
