DepEd Batangas City South Elementary School

Despite the suspension of face-to-face classes due to heavy rains and flooding, Batangas City South Elementary School continues to support learning through modular distance learning.

With the dedication of our teachers, cooperation of parents, and support of Barangay 7 officials, learning continues while the safety and well-being of our learners remain the priority.

Together, with teamwork, patience, and compassion, we keep learning and keep each other safe.

Batangas City South Elementary School conducted a DRRM Partnership Meeting on August 17, 2026, at 1:00 PM entitled “Building Safer School and Community: Institutionalization of DepEd Agile Response Team (DART)”. The activity was attended by the School Head, SDRRM Coordinator and members of the SDRRM Team together with some Barangay DRRM Officers, Barangay Health Workers, and Sangguniang Barangay - Education Committee in Poblacion Cluster. The meeting focused on institutionalizing the DepEd Agile Response Team and strengthening its roles in prevention and mitigation, preparedness, response, and rehabilitation and recovery before, during, and after emergencies.

The participants reviewed current disaster risks, clarified team responsibilities stated in their Designation Orders, and strengthened coordination mechanisms to ensure a timely and organized response during emergencies. Collaborative strategies were also discussed to enhance the delivery of educational services, protect learners and personnel, and promote school-community resilience. Through this partnership, the school and external stakeholders reaffirmed their commitment to building a safer, prepared, responsive, and resilient school community. Series of meetings will be conducted quarterly to acknowledge feedbacks in order to mitigate the impact of disasters both in the school and the community.

Sa bawat alon ng panahon, may mga kuwentong dapat alalahanin. Sa bawat bayang ating kinabibilangan, may kasaysayang dapat ipagmalaki. 🌊📖

Bilang isang paaralan, patuloy nating huhubugin ang mga kabataang kumilala sa nakaraan, nagmamalaki sa pagka-Pilipino, at may pananagutang ipagpatuloy ang magandang kuwento ng ating bayan.

ANNOUNCEMENT:
Due to the impact of recent adverse weather and flooding, school heads across the Schools Division of Batangas City have assessed that several school premises, surrounding communities, and access roads remain unsafe for face-to-face classes.
Accordingly, in-person classes in all public schools are suspended tomorrow, August 10,2026, to allow schools time to clean, repair, and ensure safe conditions.
Private school management maintains discretion over class suspensions and alternative learning modalities, in accordance with DepEd guidelines and in coordination with local authorities.
