Batad Access Program

Batad Access Program Official page of the teachers and scholars of the Batad Access Program The program is funded by the Education and Cultural office of the US Embassy in Manila.

The English Access Microscholarship Program (Access) provides a foundation of English language skills to talented 13-20 year-olds from economically disadvantaged sectors through after-school classes and intensive sessions. Access gives participants English skills that may lead to better jobs and educational prospects. Participants also gain the ability to compete for and participate in future exch

anges and study in the United States. Sixty (60) bright and talented high school students from Batad, Iloilo, will participate in the 2-year scholarship program. The Access program in Batad is implemented by Synergeia Foundation in partnership with the Local School Board.

Batad Access Family is forever grateful to Dr. Don Anton R. Balida, International University Professor, College of Engineering from Muscat, Oman for sharing his knowledge and expertise to Batad Access Scholars and Teachers during the Research Writing Workshop as part of an Intensive Session. ACCESS scholars, teachers, and coordinator Hon. Vice Mayor Ernesto R. Balida helped the distribution of school supplies and raincoats to all students of Magalumbi Island, Tanao, Iloilo and Aeta Tribe of Caw-i, Batad, Iloilo. This is a project of Global Literary Organization in partnership with Be A Giver. Present also in this activity is the former Rotary Club of Makati Olympia President Dr. Mary Ann Paranpan, ALS teachers, Brgy. Tanao Officials, and volunteers.

Batad Access Scholars and teachers conducted a Coastal Clean-up Drive Activity at Binon-an, Batad, Iloilo, Philippines to increase the scholars' awareness of environmental issues of the community and to gain understanding of the ways to contribute and help save Mother Earth.
The leaners were able to collect 35 sacks of segregated wastes.
