𝗔𝗟𝗨𝗠𝗡𝗜 𝗜𝗡 𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 | 𝗔𝗥𝗢 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗝𝗼𝗯𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺

Prof. Krismary Sharmaine Yapo-Agbigay, ARO Chief, shared her expertise on work ethics, workplace productivity, and professional effectiveness during the JobStart Program conducted at the Provincial Government of Ilocos Norte (PGIN), which brought together more than 60 fresh graduates and out-of-school youth preparing for employment.

As one of the learning facilitators, the ARO Chief highlighted the importance of cultivating a strong work ethic, developing professional behaviors, and enhancing productivity in the workplace. The session provided participants with practical insights on how to effectively transition from academic life and become valuable contributors to their future organizations.

The JobStart Program consists of 10 comprehensive learning sessions designed to strengthen the employability of young Filipinos through a combination of life skills development, workplace readiness training, and technical skills enhancement.

The initiative is spearheaded by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and facilitated by the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) of the Provincial Government of Ilocos Norte.

𝗔𝗟𝗨𝗠𝗡𝗜 𝗜𝗡 𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 | 𝗡𝗢𝗛 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗦𝘁𝗶𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝟭𝟬 𝗖𝗧𝗘 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘀

The NOH Scholarship Committee, composed of representatives from the College of Teacher Education (CTE), the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS), and the Alumni Relations Office (ARO), awarded stipends to 10 deserving CTE scholars under the Normalites of Hawaii (NOH) Scholarship Program.

Now on its second year, the scholarship program continues to provide financial support to CTE students, helping them pursue their academic goals and prepare for future careers in the teaching profession.

The scholarship stipends were funded by NOH, a registered non-profit corporation based in Hawaii and composed of alumni of the College of Teacher Education. The organization is led by its President, Mr. Arlene John Peralta, whose dedication has reinforced the alumni association’s mission of providing meaningful educational initiatives.

A MOA signing was conducted in November 2024 between MMSU to NOH to formalize the scholarship program.

MMSU Global Association, Inc. (MGA) President and alumnus Mr. Lawrence G. Patricio recognized the achievement of Ms. Chalzae Johanna C. Raval, a graduate of the BS Biology program, and the Class of 2026 Summa Cum Laude, during the university's 48th Commencement Exercises.

The certificate of recognition and cash incentive amounting to Php 10,000 was awarded by University President Dr. Virgilio Julius P. Manzano, Jr., and witnessed by Hon. Bismark Angelo A. Quidang, Dr. Marlina L. Lino, and Prof. Krismary Sharmaine Yapo-Agbigay.

Mr. Patricio stated that, as an alumnus, he deeply values the dedication, perseverance, and commitment demonstrated by Ms. Raval throughout her academic journey, culminating in an outstanding General Weighted Average (GWA) of 1.1693 — the highest in the Class of 2026.

The recipient expressed her gratitude to MGA for the recognition, noting that the award serves as an inspiration to continue striving for excellence in her future endeavors.

MGA is a registered non-profit corporation in the USA composed of MMSU alumni and affiliates. The organization is dedicated to advancing educational initiatives, community development programs, and charitable activities that benefit its members, the university, and various stakeholders.
