THIS IS THE OFFICIAL FACEBOOK PAGE OF MMSU - UNIVERSITY STUDENT COUNCIL The Mariano Marcos State University - University Student Council (USC) is the umbrella organization and the highest governing body of all students enrolled in the various degree and non-degree programs for the University, student organizations and interest clubs duly recognized by the Office of the Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) of Mariano Marcos State University, City of Batac, Ilocos Norte. Moreover, the USC serves as a link of students to the administration of the University. All students are governed by the rules and regulations as promulgated in the council's Constitution and By-Laws, and with the resolutions, ordinances, and memoranda duly deliberated by the office.

In observance of the Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, we are launching our “Little Heroes, Big Battles” Donation Drive to bring joy and support to children facing their own battles. You can make a difference by donating any of the following:

𝙎𝙤𝙢𝙚 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙗𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙣 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙨𝙞𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙮 𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙬𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙪𝙥.

On September 19, 2026, the 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗼 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗼𝘀 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 (𝗠𝗠𝗦𝗨) 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 (𝗨𝗦𝗖), together with various student organizations and university stakeholders, joined the 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻-𝘂𝗽 (𝗜𝗖𝗖) 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲 2026 at Brgy. 35-Gabu Sur, Laoag City.

Spearheaded by 𝗦𝗠 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗟𝗮𝗼𝗮𝗴 through the SM Green Movement, in partnership with the Provincial Government of Ilocos Norte–Environment and Natural Resources Office (PGIN-ENRO) and the City Government of Laoag, the initiative brought different sectors together in a shared effort to address marine litter and promote responsible waste management.

Beyond collecting waste along the shoreline, the activity offered a reminder that environmental responsibility extends beyond awareness. Every piece of litter removed, every proper disposal practiced, and every person who chooses to participate contributes to the larger effort of protecting our coastal ecosystems.

For the USC and the participating university organizations, the cleanup became more than a civic activity. It was an opportunity to practice bayanihan, strengthen community engagement, and turn concern for the environment into something tangible.

Because protecting our shores is not a responsibility that belongs to one person, one organization, or one day. It is a 𝙨𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙞𝙩𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩, carried forward by every hand willing to make a difference.
