Last Wednesday, October 14, 2026, JIECEP held a small but heartfelt Teachers’ Month celebration with our beloved ECE faculty—a little break from circuits and lectures for laughter, gifts, and a cozy salo-salo!

The friendly competition came alive during “Trip to Jerusalem with a Twist,” with Engr. Ma. Fregie Gaile Pagador-Blancaflor securing the winning seat! 🪑🏆 Cake and coffee sponsored by JIECEP made the gathering sweeter, while simple gifts carried our heartfelt appreciation. A warm thank-you to COE-SC for sharing another thoughtful gift of food treats! 🍰🎁

Behind all great minds and talented hands is a teacher who enriches and shapes potential. They are vital pillars of the past, present, and future. We call them by many names, such as educator, mentor, or instructor, but they share a single purpose: to help students navigate an ever-evolving world.

The JIECEP organization joins in celebrating our mentors in this World Teachers' Day. We honor their dedication, invaluable service, and unwavering commitment to excellence and professional development.

At the MMSU College of Engineering, 2nd Floor, JIECEP Corner, the afternoon air carried more than the usual chatter between classes. Strands of ribbon stretched across the room, colorful balloons swayed gently overhead, and a familiar birthday melody escaped from someone's speaker before being quickly hushed. Around the table, a few members busied themselves with candles, paper cups, and a cake carefully hidden from curious eyes.

The room settled into an eager silence. One glance at the door was all it took. Someone smiled. Another counted softly under their breath. Then, as the door finally opened, the silence gave way to a chorus that echoed through the hallway—

The team met with 𝗠𝘀. 𝗥𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝗼𝗻, 𝙈𝘿𝙍𝙍𝙈 𝙊𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙧 of San Nicolas and 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙇𝙚𝙖𝙜𝙪𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙇𝙤𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝘿𝙍𝙍𝙈 𝙊𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙄𝙡𝙤𝙘𝙤𝙨 𝙉𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙚, to discuss 𝘱𝘰𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘤𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯.

The meeting explored possible extension projects and research initiatives that could be conducted in San Nicolas, in line with 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁'𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲. In turn, the MDRRMC shared key 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳-𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘶𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘴 currently faced by the municipality, providing 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀.

Across the halls of 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐨 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐨𝐬 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲,minds from different colleges and departments came together for a cosmic clash of knowledge. On 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 13, 2026, three (3) JIECEPeers proved that their curiosity can reach far beyond the classroom—and apparently, all the way to the stars. 🌌💥

𝐆𝐰𝐲𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐡 𝐌𝐢𝐤𝐚 𝐑. 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐨, 𝐍𝐢𝐤𝐲𝐥𝐚 𝐊𝐞𝐳𝐢𝐚 𝐆. 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐚𝐚𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐨 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐳𝐨 𝐒. 𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐚 represented JIECEP in 𝐀𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬: 𝐒𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐳 2026 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚-𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 that brought together undergraduate students from various colleges and departments of MMSU at the 𝐌𝐌𝐒𝐔 𝐂𝐅𝐋. Teams went head-to-head in a cosmic battle of knowledge covering space science, space technology, and their applications.

Armed with teamwork, quick thinking, and enough brainpower to navigate thirty questions across three challenging rounds, our JIECEPeers took on the challenge and came home with a 5𝐭𝐡𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐡! 🏅🌟

From calculating circuits to contemplating constellations, this trio certainly proved that an ECE student’s field of exploration does not end at the circuit board. Sometimes, you just have to look up. 🌠🚀
