Ferdinand E. Marcos Senior High School (FEMSHS) celebrates another remarkable feat in international academic competition as two of its Grade 12 STEM learners earned top distinctions in the 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝗢𝗹𝘆𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗮𝗱 (𝗛𝗞𝗜𝗠𝗢) 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗥𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱, held online on August 22, 2026.

Greetings!

In view of the announced scheduled power interruption by the Ilocos Norte Electric Cooperative (INEC) on August 27, 2026 (Thursday), please be informed that regular classes shall proceed as scheduled.

To ensure the comfort and well-being of our learners during the temporary power outage, all learners are advised to:

• Wear comfortable and appropriate clothing in accordance with school rules and regulations;
• Bring an extra set of clothes, if necessary;
• Bring handheld fans or other safe personal fans for ventilation; and
• Bring sufficient drinking water to stay hydrated throughout the day.

Teachers and school personnel shall likewise take the necessary measures to ensure that learning activities remain conducive and that the health and safety of learners are prioritized.

We encourage parents and guardians to remind their children to stay hydrated and observe proper health precautions during the power interruption.

Ferdinand E. Marcos Senior High School officially opened its Intramurals 2026 on August 8, 2026, at the Imelda Cultural Center, bringing together learners, faculty, and staff in a celebration of sportsmanship, camaraderie, and school pride. Carrying the theme, “A Decade of Excellence Through Sports,” this year’s Intramurals highlights the importance of teamwork, discipline, and excellence both on and off the playing field.

Despite the rain, nothing could stop the excitement and spirit of the FEMSHS community. The much-anticipated celebration featured two competing teams: the G11 Pirates and the G12 Marines, who came together to showcase their team spirit throughout the games.

The opening program featured the entry of the participating teams and color guards, followed by the National Anthem, prayer, opening salvo, team presentations, lighting of the torch, oath of sportsmanship, and hoisting of team banners.

Adding excitement to the celebration were the Dance Exercise Showdowns, where students demonstrated their energy, coordination, and creativity. The program also recognized the achievements of FEMSHS athletes, including Adrian Dhale U. Alano, PALARO 2026 athlete in wrestling, and Aaron James O. Bayangos, RIAA 2026 bronze medalist during the torch-ligthing ceremony.

The ceremony culminated in the Declaration of the Opening of the Intramurals by Engr. Pepsi P. Duldulao, School Principal II, officially signaling the start of the games. In her message, she reminded the athletes to compete with determination, discipline, and integrity. She added, “Win with humility and accept defeat with grace. Respect your opponents, support your teammates, and remember that the greatest victory is becoming a better person through the experience of competition.”

As the Pirates and Marines officially begin their competition, Intramurals 2026 sets the stage for exciting games, memorable moments, and meaningful experiences. Beyond the pursuit of victory, the celebration seeks to foster friendship, teamwork, discipline, respect, and unity among the FEMSHS community.

With every game comes an opportunity to learn, every challenge an opportunity to grow, and every victory an opportunity to celebrate together.

FEMSHS teachers received their lapel voice amplifiers today at the FEMSHS Grounds as part of the Department of Education's initiative to support classroom instruction and enhance the teaching and learning process.

Present during the turnover were the DepEd Batac City personnel led by Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Arnel S. Bandiola.

The distribution of lapel voice amplifiers is made possible through the support of President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. and DepEd Secretary Sonny Angara, reflecting the government's continuing commitment to providing teachers with tools that help strengthen learning delivery in schools.

The FEMSHS community also extends its sincere gratitude to our Schools Division Superintendent, Sir Anselmo Aludino, for his support and leadership in facilitating the immediate distribution of the lapel voice amplifiers to teachers.

Ferdinand E. Marcos Senior High School proudly participated in the Community Flower Offering held this morning at the Gen. Ricarte Monument to commemorate the 81st Death Anniversary of General Artemio “Vibora” Ricarte. The activity served as a meaningful tribute to the unwavering patriotism, courage, and sacrifices of one of the country’s most distinguished heroes--a Batacqueno who dedicated his life to the pursuit of Philippine independence.

Grade 11 Class Officers and learners, together with the Kasaysayan teachers, offered bouquets of flowers as a symbol of respect, gratitude, and remembrance for General Ricarte’s invaluable contributions to the nation. Through this simple yet heartfelt gesture, the school community honored his legacy and reflected on the importance of preserving the values of patriotism and love of country among the youth.

As we remember the life and heroism of General Artemio Ricarte, may his enduring dedication to freedom continue to inspire present and future generations to serve the nation with integrity, courage, and pride.
