𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗿 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘄𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗚𝗮𝗹𝗮

The Bannuar Dance Troupe of Ferdinand E. Marcos Senior High School showcased its talent and creativity during the Contemporary Dance Competition of the Tourism Gala organized by the City Tourism Office.

Competing against eight other schools, the troupe presented a unique rendition of "Bakla Met Gayam,"highlighting originality, humor, and artistic expression. While the team did not advance to the winners' circle, its performance earned appreciation for its engaging concept and energetic presentation.

The troupe was guided by Mr. Vhynnz Kenley L. Pagdilao, Resident Choreographer/Alumnus, whose creativity and dedication helped bring the performance to life, and supported by Mr. Freddie S. Aribuabo, Culture and Arts Coordinator, for his continued commitment to developing and promoting the artistic talents of FEMSHS learners.

The school also recognizes the support of Dr. Mark Janree L. Valencia, School Head, in fostering learners' participation in cultural and artistic endeavors.

The event provided an opportunity for the dancers to showcase their skills, creativity, and passion for the performing arts while proudly representing the Falcon community.

𝗙𝗘𝗠𝗦𝗛𝗦 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝗻𝘀 𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗰 𝗞𝘂𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆𝗮 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

Ferdinand E. Marcos Senior High School showcased its culinary talent at the Batac Kulinarya Challenge 2026 held on October 11 at the Imelda Cultural Center as part of the city's Tourism Month celebration.

The school earned 2nd Place in the Dessert Category through its entry, Chocolate Molten Lava Cake with Mung Beans and Coconut Cream, prepared by Grade 11 learners Aimee Policarpio and Angel Lapat of Grade 11 Umali.

Meanwhile, Zhaijan Kenny Ruado, Dave Rylan Hernandez, and Charmaine P. Abon of Grade 11-Diaz represented FEMSHS in the Main Course Category with their entry, Batac Miki Harvest Tower. Although the team did not place among the winners, they proudly showcased their creativity, culinary skills, and appreciation of local flavors alongside other competing schools.

The participants were guided by their coach, Mrs. Mary Claire Garcia-Belong, whose dedication and mentorship helped prepare the learners for the competition.

FEMSHS also extends its sincere gratitude to the School Parents-Teachers Association (SPTA) for its financial assistance and support, which contributed to the successful participation of the school's contestants.

This achievement reflects the school's commitment to nurturing learners' skills and talents while promoting the rich culinary heritage of Batac. The competition served not only as a platform for excellence but also as an opportunity for young culinarians to learn, grow, and proudly represent the Falcon community.

𝗕𝗹𝘂𝗲 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗿𝘁 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝗙𝗘𝗠𝗦𝗛𝗦

Students, teachers, and personnel of Ferdinand E. Marcos Senior High School wore blue on Friday, October 16, in observance of Mental Health Awareness Month.

Integrated into the school's Homeroom Guidance Program, the activity included brief classroom discussions on the significance of wearing blue and the importance of promoting mental health awareness, understanding, and support.

Through Blue Shirt Friday, the FEMSHS community reaffirmed its commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where mental health and well-being are valued.

𝗙𝗘𝗠𝗦𝗛𝗦 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝟭𝟮 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗔𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗠𝗦𝗨 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗻

Grade 12 learners of Ferdinand E. Marcos Senior High School participated in an information and promotional campaign conducted by the Mariano Marcos State University- College of Engineering on October 15, 2026.

The activity introduced students to the college's undergraduate engineering degree programs and provided information on admission requirements, academic opportunities, and potential career pathways in the engineering profession.

Aligned with FEMSHS's Career Guidance Program, the campaign aimed to help graduating learners make informed decisions regarding their higher education and future careers. Representatives from the MMSU College of Engineering highlighted the importance of pursuing fields that match students' interests, skills, and career goals.

Through the activity, learners gained valuable insights into engineering education and the opportunities available to them as they prepare for college and the world of work.

Ferdinand E. Marcos Senior High School joined the observance of Global Handwashing Day 2026 on October 15, promoting proper handwashing as an essential practice in preventing the spread of germs and diseases.

The activity emphasized the importance of washing hands with soap and clean, running water, particularly before eating, after using the restroom, and after coughing or sneezing. Students and school personnel were reminded that proper hand hygiene is one of the simplest and most effective ways to protect health and maintain a safe learning environment.

Through the observance, FEMSHS reinforced the value of personal responsibility in promoting cleanliness and wellness within the school community, encouraging learners to make proper handwashing a daily habit.

FEMSHS PROMOTES CHILD PROTECTION, LEARNERS’ RIGHTS THROUGH CSWDO-LED ADVOCACY CAMPAIGN

In observance of National School Safety Week, the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) spearheaded an advocacy campaign at FEMSHS, in partnership with the Philippine National Police (PNP), to raise awareness of learners’ rights, welfare, and responsibilities.

The activity featured PCMS Leah DC Ulit of the PNP Batac City Police Station and Ms. Rowena Tabudlo, Social Welfare Officer II, as resource speakers. Discussions covered bullying prevention, the Safe Spaces Act, and Republic Act No. 9344, or the Juvenile Justice and Welfare Act, highlighting the importance of child protection and responsible behavior.

In his message, Dr. Mark Janree L. Valencia, Teacher-in-Charge, emphasized that maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment is a shared responsibility of the school, parents, learners, and the community. He encouraged learners to apply the lessons gained from the activity by showing respect for others, preventing bullying, and making responsible decisions.

The FEMSHS community expressed its gratitude to the CSWDO for spearheading the initiative, as well as to the PNP, resource speakers, SDO Batac City, and other partner agencies for sharing their expertise and supporting efforts to promote learners’ welfare.

The activity underscored the importance of continued collaboration between the school and partner agencies in fostering a safe, inclusive, and child-friendly learning environment.

FEMSHS JOINS NATIONAL SCHOOL SAFETY WEEK 2026

A safe school begins with a community that works together.

Ferdinand E. Marcos Senior High School (FEMSHS) joined the Simultaneous Flag Ceremony on October 12, 2026, marking the opening of National School Safety Week 2026 and strengthening its commitment to a safe, caring, and inclusive learning environment.

The ceremony brought together representatives from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) – Batac City Fire Station and the Philippine National Police (PNP) – Batac City Police Station, along with barangay officials, tanods, Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), and the SK Chairperson of Barangay Valdez, as well as officials of Barangay Barani. Also present were SPTA officers, School Governance Council (SGC) members, teachers, and learners.

In his message, Dr. Mark Janree L. Valencia, Teacher-in-Charge, highlighted the vital role of community partnerships in preventing bullying and violence, preparing for emergencies, and protecting learners. He also encouraged everyone to promote respect, friendship, and inclusion through the school's My Buddy System, ensuring that no learner feels alone or left behind.

A highlight of the ceremony was the collective recitation of the “Panata ng Buong Komunidad para sa Mas Ligtas na Paaralan” and the ceremonial signing of the School Safety Commitment Wall, symbolizing everyone's pledge to make school safety a shared responsibility.

As Dr. Valencia reminded everyone, “Ti kinatalged ti eskuelaan ket responsabilidad tayo amin.” School safety is everyone's responsibility—not just for one week, but every day!
