Bachelor of Science in Biology

The BS Biology is a four-year undergraduate program that provides a holistic and rigorous approach to the biological sciences. The curriculum covers the essential concepts, principles and theories of biology across a diverse range of disciplines through innovative lecture and laboratory courses. The program offers a Thesis which allows students to conduct laboratory and/or field research work. It provides the most comprehensive preparation for further education, including medical studies. Graduate research programs are also a common option for our majors. Our alumni is enjoying success in their respective fields, be it in medicine, research, industry or the academe. This program aims to prepare students for a degree in Bachelor of Science in Biology and equip them to:
1. become researchers and decision makers in public and private scientific agencies;
2. pursue graduate and advance degrees in biology or other fields like medicine and dentistry;
3. join the academe as instructors/teacher;
4. engage or involve in the development of various biological technologies;
5. venture into various biological business; and
6. become well-informed, totally involved and responsible citizens.
