As we closely wrap up the month of March dedicated to the celebration of Women's Month, we remain grounded on our goal โ ๐ต๐ฐ ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฐ๐ธ๐ฆ๐ณ ๐ธ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ฏ.
Discussing various topics, the three keynote speakers have instilled knowledge and awareness, deepening the understanding of the audience to the reproductive health. It is not just about the sexual aspect, it is about how we became aware of what's happening in our bodies, and the way we care for it.
๐๐ฟ. ๐๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐น๐ฒ ๐. ๐๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ป๐๐ถ๐น๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ผ, discussing the menstrual cycle and the common health concerns among women, highlighted the importance of factual information and consultation. "Avoid google medication", don't rely on simply searching what you changes you see, early detection is good.
๐ ๐ฟ. ๐๐ฎ๐๐๐ผ๐ป ๐. ๐๐ฟ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ป๐, provided an in-depth discussion of the concept of contraception in the psychosocial lens. The Sikolohiyang Pilipino concepts like kapwa, hiya, bahala na, and utang na loob has affected how the society view contraception. "Consent is not just about yes. It is about having the freedom to say no genuinely." Consent is us speaking for ourselves and the choices we make.
๐ ๐. ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ป๐ฎ๐ต ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐๐น๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ ๐๐น๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ผ, elaborated the mind-body connection, that our behaviors are affected by the hormonal changes. Frequent mood swings are not just jokes by women, it is connected to the environment around them. "It is important to understand ourseleves", being aware means knowing what to do and having the ability to adjust from it.
