- Development of a system/model for proper scheduling mango production

Sugarcane 🌱

They serve as firefighters and police officers, but they also work in other fields like as medicine, food delivery, customer service, and as overseas workers. She is an expert in her field. She has dedicated her life to researching natural resources from endemic plants. She is currently working with other researchers at the Tuklas Lunas Development Center of the Mariano Marcos State University in Ilocos, and spearheads research on the discovery of potential drug sources from indigenous plant species in Ilocos.

Ms. Alecsis G. Villarin possesses the knowledge, understanding, and abilities necessary for successful academic instruction and study. She was working as an SRA in the Research Directorate at Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) when she was approached to become affiliate professor in the College of Agriculture, Food, and Sustainable Development (CAFSD). At the University's Innovation and Technology Support Office, she works as a license officer for various technologies (UITSO). In addition to being a Garlic Research Center affiliate. She earned a BS in Agriculture from MMSU in 2013 with a concentration in Horticulture and an MS in Crop Science in 2018. She also graduated from MMSU with a 2-year certificate in Agricultural Technology through the university's Ladderized program. She is an undergraduate at the University of the Philippines Los Baños majoring in Plant Pathology and plans to earn a Ph.D. in the field.

"According to DOST, the establishment of the VIP is part of the Philippine government’s response to public health emergencies like the emergence of the Covid-19, which highlighted the need for Research and Development (R&D) capacities in virology research.

It added that the VIP will serve as the country’s premier research and development institute that focuses on the study of viruses and other pathogens, and how their health, environmental, and economic impacts can be prevented."
