Four faculty members from the Department of Physiology of the Mariano Marcos State University College of Medicine (MMSU-COM) formally took their oath as members of the ๐ท๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐บ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ท๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐, ๐ฐ๐๐. (๐ท๐บ๐ท) during the Society's annual gathering held at the Davao Medical School Foundation.

The Philippine Society of Physiologists, Inc. is the country's premier professional organization dedicated to the advancement of physiology education, research, and professional development. As an affiliate of the ๐ฐ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ผ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ท๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐บ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ (๐ฐ๐ผ๐ท๐บ),, the global federation of physiological societies, PSP serves as a vital link between Filipino physiologists and the international scientific community, promoting collaboration, scholarly exchange, and the dissemination of best practices in physiology education and research.
The induction of four MMSU-COM faculty members into the Society reflects the College's commitment to academic excellence, continuous professional development, and active participation in national and international professional networks. Through their membership, the faculty gain opportunities to engage with fellow physiologists, contribute to scholarly initiatives, and remain abreast of developments in the physiological sciences.
During the Society's Annual Business Meeting, Mariano Marcos State University College of Medicine was likewise recognized by the society's president ๐๐ฟ. ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ธ ๐๐ผ๐๐ถ๐ฒ ๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ป for its successful collaboration with the PSP in organizing the online physiology webinar entitled โ๐ญ๐๐๐ ๐ท๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ท๐๐๐๐๐๐๐: ๐ป๐๐ ๐ท๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐

The webinar, organized through the efforts of the MMSU-COM Department of Physiology in partnership with the PSP, featured ๐๐ฟ. ๐ฅ๐๐๐ต ๐. ๐๐ผ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐, an anesthesiology consultant and international fellow in Clinical Pain Management, as resource speaker. The activity drew more than 90 participants from various institutions nationwide and received positive feedback from attendees and Society members alike.
Among the webinar's notable strengths was its emphasis on the clinical correlation of physiological concepts, enabling participants to appreciate the direct application of fundamental physiology principles in the assessment and management of pain. The Society commended the activity for its relevance, quality of discussions, and contribution to strengthening the integration of basic sciences and clinical practice.
