𝐋𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐔𝐏 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐌𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐘 𝐒𝐄𝐑𝐕𝐈𝐂𝐄: 𝐌𝐌𝐒𝐔 𝐄𝐌𝐏𝐎𝐖𝐄𝐑𝐒 𝐍𝐒𝐓𝐏 𝐅𝐀𝐂𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐀𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐒!

The Mariano Marcos State University recently concluded its intensive three-day 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆-𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗡𝗦𝗧𝗣 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀: 𝗘𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗲𝗱𝗮𝗴𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀! Held from June 29 to July 1, 2026, at the Center for Flexible Learning, this pivotal training brought together university coordinators and facilitators to standardize and elevate community-oriented education.

Jointly led by the Gender and Development (GAD) office and the National Service Training Program (NSTP) Office, the workshop focused on equipping facilitators with pedagogical tools and crucial competencies in gender sensitivity, inclusive facilitation, and community-based participatory approaches.

With the newly updated NSTP syllabus, university instructors are diving deep into critical societal issues, integrating Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) like Quality Education (SDG 4), Good Health and Well-being (SDG 3), Gender Equality (SDG 5), and Climate Action (SDG 13). This training ensures that instruction and extension initiatives foster safe, respectful, and empowering spaces for all students and partner communities, regardless of background or ability.

🗓️ 𝐀 𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐋𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟑-𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲

Our facilitators engaged with a powerhouse lineup of experts from university offices and partner government agencies:

𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟏: Focused heavily on foundational values, covering Citizenship Training, Volunteerism, Drug Education, and Climate Change.

𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐: Explored vital societal frameworks, including Gender and Development (GAD), National Security Concerns, and Disaster Preparedness.

𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟑: Mastered data-driven Community Needs Assessments and Project Proposal writing, culminating in the oral presentations and the prestigious 𝗡𝗦𝗧𝗣 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀!

By standardizing the curriculum and establishing unified grading rubrics for community project plans, MMSU is fully prepared for an inclusive, responsive, and highly impactful NSTP Syllabus Implementation for Academic Year 2026-2027!

𝗪𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗽 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗪𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗼𝘁. 🌱🪷

With science rooted in service and communities empowered through collaboration, 𝗕𝗜𝗢𝗻𝗶𝗝𝗨𝗔𝗡: 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗘𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 was recognized as the 𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗡𝗦𝗧𝗣 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 (𝗖𝗪𝗧𝗦) and received a Special Award for 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 during the 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗡𝗦𝗧𝗣 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀, 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆-𝘄𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗡𝗦𝗧𝗣 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘂𝗺, held at the MMSU Center for Flexible Learning on July 1, 2026.

The project was presented by one of its proponents, 𝗬𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗚𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗻 𝗔𝗵𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘂 𝗣. 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗼, under the guidance of their NSTP advisers 𝗠𝗿. 𝗥𝗮𝗺𝗷𝗲𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝘂𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗴, 𝗠𝘀. 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗞𝘆𝗹𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗱𝗼,and 𝗠𝗿. 𝗥𝗼𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗹 𝗩𝗲𝗮. The presentation was strengthened through the collective preparation and leadership of the project heads: 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗝𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰 𝗝𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗗𝗮𝗴𝗮, 𝗝𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗮 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲 𝗗𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗼, 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲 𝗫𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝗰𝗼𝗹, 𝗔𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗮 𝗝𝗮𝘆𝗰𝗲𝗹 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗲, and 𝗝𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻𝘇𝗶𝗲 𝗚𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲, together with the dedication and support of every member involved in the initiative.

This recognition belongs not to a single presenter nor a handful of leaders, but to the entire 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗜, Academic Year 2025–2026. BIOniJUAN would never have reached this milestone without the spirit of 𝘣𝘢𝘺𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘩𝘢𝘯, the commitment of every student, the guidance of their advisers, and the steadfast support of the 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 under the College of Arts and Sciences.
