The PSA recorded 3,379 deaths from intentional self-harm, while the PNP logged nearly 2,000 reported cases in the first half of 2025 alone. In early 2026, NCR also reported a sharp rise in cases. 𝑻𝒉𝒆𝒔𝒆 𝒏𝒖𝒎𝒃𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒓𝒆𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒅 𝒖𝒔 𝒘𝒉𝒚 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 matter.
