Student-LED School Watching and Hazard Mapping SY 2026-2027
District: BASISTA
School: ANAMBONGAN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
School ID: 101252
School Head: DR. TITO R. FRIAS
The Student-led School Watching and Hazard Mapping is an initial step in engaging learners in disaster preparedness and management.
Ms. Mary Joy C. delos Santos, School Watching and Hazard Mapping Moderator, organized a School watching Team ( SWT). It is composed of 10 pupils who are student leaders in the different organizations in the school. The SWT underwent orientation before the conduct of the activity.
On August 12, 2026, the SWT conducted the school watching and hazard mapping. During the school watching and hazard mapping, the learners identified several safety concerns within the school premises. These included clogged canals, damaged roof and wooden materials, slippery areas, broken doors, flood-prone areas, broken chairs, garbage areas, and broken glass. These hazards may cause accidents, injuries, flooding, and an unsafe or unhealthy school environment if not addressed immediately.
The results of the school watching and hazard mapping were presented to the School Planning Team where suggestions and recommendations were made. It is important that actions should be taken with the identified hazards to ensure that teachers and pupils are safe while they are inside the school.
