𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 || 𝗕𝗮𝗹-𝗼𝘀 𝗡𝗛𝗦 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗔𝗠𝗘𝗦 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗼 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲

Bal-os National High School learners participated in the PAMES Casio Math Challenge held on September 26, 2026, at Ramon Teves Pastor Memorial (Dumaguete Science High School), Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental.

The activity provided the learners with an opportunity to showcase their mathematical knowledge, problem-solving skills, critical thinking and ability to apply mathematical concepts in a challenging academic setting.

The learners were accompanied and supported by the Mathematics teachers of Bal-os NHS, headed by Mr. Marlou L. Gayanelo, School Principal, who continues to encourage learners to participate in activities that nurture academic excellence.

Their participation reflects the school’s commitment to developing learners who are confident, analytical and willing to take on challenges beyond the classroom.

Bal-os NHS commends the learners and their Mathematics teachers for representing the school with dedication and enthusiasm.

The official results of the examination will be announced at a later date.

Regardless of the outcome, the experience gained from this challenge serves as another meaningful step toward strengthening the learners’ passion and appreciation for Mathematics.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 || 𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗖𝗜𝗔𝗟 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗠 𝗜𝗡 𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗦 𝗩𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗘𝗩𝗔𝗟𝗨𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 🏀🏐🏓🏸♟️

On September 23, 2026, Bal-os National High School welcomed the validators and visitors from the Division Office for the validation and evaluation of its newly opened Special Program in Sports (SPS), a program dedicated to discovering, developing and nurturing the athletic talents of our Bal-osanon learners. The validation team was headed by Dr. Alex A. Parane, OIC-ASDS, together with Mr. Andrito Q. Bajardo, EPS-MAPEH, Mr. Kulafu Seballos, SEPS SocMob, Mrs. Betsy Pearl T. Seniel, MAEM, AO V, Mr. Emann Ygot, Division Accountant, Engr. Roy Divinagracia, Division Engineer and Mr. Ricardo P. Raging, District In-Charge of Basay District 2.

Together with School Head Mr. Marlou L. Gayanelo and the coaches, the validators inspected the various facilities identified for the training of our athletes, including Basketball at Brgy. Bongalonan Covered Court, Volleyball at Brgy. Bal-os Covered Court, Table Tennis at the Bal-os NHS Sports Hub, Sepak Takraw at the Bal-os NHS grounds, Badminton at the Bal-os NHS Parking Area, Swimming at La Costa del Mar, Chess at the School Library and Arnis at the School Stage. The team also visited the Grade 7 learners currently being catered to by the new program and met their adviser, Mrs. Fe P. Pedrosa, as they continue their journey toward athletic excellence. This significant milestone reflects the school's commitment to providing meaningful opportunities where young Bal-osanon athletes can train, grow, compete and proudly represent their school and community.

The Special Program in Sports marks a new chapter for Bal-os NHS as it strengthens its support for sports development and creates a pathway for our young athletes to pursue both academic and athletic excellence. The school expresses its gratitude to the validators, Division Office personnel, partner communities, facility providers, teachers, parents and learners whose support continues to make this program possible.

𝐁𝐀𝐋-𝐎𝐒 𝐍𝐇𝐒 𝐉𝐎𝐈𝐍𝐒 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐕𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐀𝐋 𝐅𝐈𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐀 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 ✨

The Bal-os NHS Sidlak Sayaw Dance Troupe, teachers and Camera Club proudly joined the Vicarial Fiesta of the Vicariate of St. Matthew, hosted by the Parish of St. Nicholas of Tolentino, Basay, on the morning of September 18, 2026 (Saturday). 🙏✨

The celebration began with the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Expansion and Rehabilitation of the Parish Church at the parish church grounds, followed by a Eucharistic Mass at the Manuel B. Utzurrum Sports Complex and the Vicarial Feast, participated in by the faithful from the eight parishes under the Vicariate of St. Matthew.

As one of the valued stakeholders of Bal-os National High School, the Church continues to be an important partner in nurturing our learners beyond the four walls of the classroom. Through meaningful participation in faith-based and community activities, our learners are given opportunities to develop not only their talents and skills but also their values, character, spirituality, sense of service and appreciation for community, essential elements of their holistic development.

𝐁𝐀𝐋-𝐎𝐒 𝐍𝐇𝐒 | 𝟐𝐍𝐃 𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐋 𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐄𝐌𝐁𝐋𝐘, 𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐃 & 𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐓𝐅𝐎𝐋𝐈𝐎 𝐃𝐀𝐘

On September 18, 2026, Bal-os National High School successfully held its 2nd General Assembly, Card and Portfolio Day for Term 1 of School Year 2026–2027, beginning at 1:00 PM. The meaningful gathering brought together parents, teachers, learners and school stakeholders in strengthening the partnership between the school and the community. The activity was graced by the presence of Mr. Ricardo P. Raging, Basay District 2 In-Charge, and Dr. Adonis Rivera, EPS-II for Science and Division Representative, whose presence added significance to the occasion. Also in attendance were the dedicated SPTA Officers, who continue to work hand in hand with the school in supporting the welfare and development of every learner. The assembly provided an avenue to discuss important school matters, accomplishments, initiatives and plans for the continuous improvement of Bal-os NHS.

One of the highlights of the gathering was the unveiling of the school project, the Construction and Rehabilitation of the School Stage, a significant initiative made possible through the collective support and commitment of the school and its stakeholders. The occasion also witnessed the Oath-Taking Ceremony of all SPTA and HPTA Officers, formally recognizing their commitment to serve and strengthen the home-school partnership. Following the assembly, parents and guardians also participated in Card and Portfolio Day, where they viewed their learners’ report cards and explored their various outputs and accomplishments displayed in their respective classrooms. More than an event, the celebration reflected the shared responsibility of teachers, parents, learners and stakeholders in creating a better learning environment for the Bal-osanon community.

Together, we continue to build, support, and inspire, because at Bal-os NHS, every partnership helps shape a brighter future for every learner.

On September 18, 2026, Bal-os National High School held its Portfolio and Cards Day for Term 1, School Year 2026–2027, bringing together learners, parents and teachers in a meaningful celebration of learning and progress.

The activity provided an opportunity for parents and guardians to view their learners’ report cards and gain a better understanding of their academic performance, strengths and areas for improvement. Alongside the report card viewing, learners’ various outputs, projects and accomplishments were proudly displayed in their respective classrooms, showcasing their creativity, effort and learning experiences throughout the term.

More than just a viewing of grades and outputs, the activity strengthened the partnership between the school and the home in supporting every learner’s growth and development. Each portfolio and classroom display reflected the dedication of learners and the guidance and encouragement of their teachers.

It also gave parents a closer look at the skills, talents and progress their children have developed during the first term. The presence and active participation of parents reminded our learners that their hard work is valued and appreciated. As we move forward to the next term, may this activity inspire our learners to continue learning, improving and giving their best in everything they do.

BAL-OS NHS STUDENT LEADERS: LEADING WITH PURPOSE

The student leaders of Bal-os National High School, together with their adviser, Mr. Darriel J. Pamat, and chaperone, Mrs. Hanilyn A. Marcelo, proudly participated in the Leadership Training 2026 Convergence Summit 2.0: Empathy in Action held on September 15–16, 2026 at BCSTEC, Cabcabon Hills, Banga, Bayawan City.

The event brought together student leaders from across the Division of Bayawan City for meaningful learning, collaboration and connection. Through the various activities and sessions, our student leaders gained valuable lessons on service, responsibility, empathy, courage and purposeful leadership.

The two-day journey allowed them to step beyond their comfort zones, build connections and discover new perspectives as young leaders. May they bring these experiences and lessons back to Bal-os NHS and continue to lead with compassion, commitment and purpose.
