𝗨𝗦𝗖 𝗠𝗘𝗘𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗦 | 𝗔𝗦𝗘𝗔𝗡 2026

The University Student Council (USC) held a meeting at the SSC Lounge from 4:00–5:30 PM, together with the advisors, to 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁 for the 59𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗦𝗘𝗔𝗡 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 2026 and delegate tasks to each committee and USC officer.

𝗔𝗦𝗘𝗔𝗡 𝗩𝗢𝗜𝗖𝗘𝗦 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 | 𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗧𝗥𝗬, 𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝗗𝗔𝗬

In celebration of the 59𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗦𝗘𝗔𝗡 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆, the Iloilo State University of Fisheries Science and Technology (ISUFST) Main Campus - Tiwi Site successfully conducted 𝗔𝗦𝗘𝗔𝗡 𝗩𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 2026 on 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 19, 2026, 𝗮𝘁 4:00 𝗣𝗠 𝘃𝗶𝗮 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁, featuring 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗲 as the country of focus under the theme “𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆, 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘆."
The event provided an enriching platform for students and participants to deepen their understanding of Singapore’s culture, identity, and place within the ASEAN community. It highlighted the importance of cultural appreciation, regional awareness, and meaningful conversations in strengthening the spirit of ASEAN unity.

The session featured 𝗗𝗿. 𝗘𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝗮𝗶 𝗧𝗮𝗻 as the Guest Speaker, who shared valuable insights through the thought-provoking topic “𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗲: 𝗠𝘆𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆?” His discussion explored the diverse identities and cultural landscape of Singapore, encouraging participants to reflect on how unity and diversity can coexist within a nation.
The program was hosted by 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗛𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝗕. 𝗚𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗮𝗼, 𝗨𝗦𝗖 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁, and 𝗝𝗮𝗻 𝗟𝗲𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗼 𝗖. 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘀𝗼𝘁𝗼, 𝗨𝗦𝗖 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁, who guided the event and fostered an engaging space for learning and cultural exchange.

As ASEAN continues to bring together nations with diverse histories, cultures, and identities, may we continue to embrace our differences while building bridges of understanding, cooperation, and unity.

Due to the announcement of the suspension of classes by the Barotac Nuevo LGU and Dumangas LGU, please be informed that face-to-face classes at the Main Campus–Tiwi Site, Main Campus–Poblacion Site, and Dumangas Campus are cancelled today August 19, 2026. Classes shall transition to the Alternative Delivery Modality (ADM).

Faculty members without administrative functions shall observe WFH arrangement.

Face-to-face classes in the other campuses may continue as scheduled provided that there is no suspension announcement from their respective LGUs.

However, Campus Administrators are advised to closely monitor weather conditions and announcements from their respective LGUs and to take the necessary measures to ensure the safety of students, faculty, and staff.

The immediate and wide dissemination of this announcement is desired.
