The Diplumath

Two (2) mathematics teachers of Baras Rural Development High School have officially completed their SEF-funded action research making them the first-ever teachers in the history of the school to have been awarded with the said grant.

𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗛𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗸 𝗻𝗮 𝗥𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀

𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗠 𝗡𝗚 𝗕𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗦 𝗥𝗗𝗛𝗦, 𝗥𝗨𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗦𝗔𝗗𝗔 𝗦𝗔 2025 𝗗𝗜𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗛 𝗙𝗔𝗜𝗥

Hindi nagpahuli ang mga mag-aaral ng STEM ng Baras RDHS matapos makapag-uwi ng sertipiko at puwesto sa 2025 Division Math Fair na ginanap nitong Nobyembre 21 sa Virac Pilot Elementary School.

Pinakamatingkad ang porma ng 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝗣𝘂𝘇𝘇𝗹𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 na bumuo ng 𝗣𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗲, na sina Ronan Sean Credo, Colin Jon Abichuela, Andrea Joyce Taniegra, Stephanie Terrobias, Jannah Carranza, Jamyca Azhea Magno at Demitri Tresvalles, nang masikwat nila ang 3𝗿𝗱 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲. Ilang araw na preparasyon ang pinuhunan ng grupo, katuwang ang tagasanay nilang si Gng. Myda Tubice.

Hindi rin nagpahuli ang dalawang pangkat mula sa STEM matapos sumalo ng 4𝘁𝗵 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 sa 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗲 na UNIquest at 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 na FracStep.

Sa Math Game, binuo ito at ipinresenta nina Myla G. Abad, Lester Tayam, Edrian Oliman, Janna Juanillo, Juliana Abejero, at Ivy Grace Chavez, sa gabay ni Gng. Maribel Manibale.

Para naman sa Math Device, pinangunahan nina Eje Boy Seno, Princess Shaine Tesorero, Shanna Abaya, Armen Torrente, John Rodel Santillan, at Rhean Lee Valenzuela ang pagbuo sa kanilang awtput, kasama ang coach na si G. Alfred Tresvalles.

Sa Quiz Bee, tumapos din sa 7𝘁𝗵 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 si 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗮 𝗕𝗮𝗷𝗮𝗿𝗼 para sa Grade 12 na kategorya.

Panibagong panalo na naman para sa Mathitinik na Ruralians. Pagbati sa lahat!

𝗕𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗦 𝗥𝗗𝗛𝗦, 𝗠𝗨𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗡𝗔𝗚𝗪𝗔𝗚𝗜; 𝗜𝗞𝗔-4 𝗡𝗔 𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗛 𝗗𝗢𝗞𝗬𝗨𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗜𝗧𝗨𝗟𝗢, 𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗘𝗟𝗬𝗨𝗛𝗔𝗡

Muling pinatunayan ng Baras Rural Development High School (BRDHS) ang kanilang dominasyon matapos sungkitin ang 𝗶𝗸𝗮-4 𝗻𝗮 𝗸𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗼 sa Math Dokyu sa Division Math Fair 2025, na nagbibigay daan sa upang muli silang makaakyat sa rehiyonal na lebel ng patimpalak ngayong Disyembre 5, 2025 sa Sorsogon City.

Nagwagi ang BRDHS Math Dokyu Team sa kabila ng magkasunod na taon na hinarap ng paaralan ang pananalasa ng bagyo. Noong nakaraang taon, bunga nga bagyong Pepito, pansamantalang natigil ang pagsali ng paaralan sa patimpalak. Subalit sa pagbabalik ngayong taon- sa kabila ng panibagong bagyon si UWan- muling umangat ang produksyon at inobasyon ng grupo sa larangang pangnumerasiya.

Pinangunahan ang team ng Master Teacher II na si 𝗭𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗻 𝗜. 𝗔𝗻𝗼𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗲𝘃𝗼, kasama sina 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗦𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗼 (Video Editor), 𝗗𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗼 𝗧𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗺 (Miyembro), at 𝗠𝗮. 𝗧𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗮 𝗚. 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗼 (Member/Video Presenter).

Hindi lamang kampeonato ang naiuwi dahil kinilala rin si 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗼 bilang 1𝘀𝘁 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗩𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗼 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿/𝗡𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿, sa kauna-unahang pagkakataon niyang gumanap sa papel na ito.

“Super saya. Worth it lahat ng overtime dahil kailangang isabay ang pagtuturo habang isinisingit ang pagvivideo at voice recording,” ani Camacho, na hindi maitago ang tuwa matapos masungkit ang panalo.

Para kay Anonuevo, ang panalong ito ay magsisilbing panibagong alab ng buong departamento upang patuloy na pag-ibayuhin ang pagpapalakas ng pagtuturo sa matematika at ang pagtatamo ng kasanayan ng mga mag-aaral sa Baras RDHS sa larangan ng Matematika.

“Nakakatuwa dahil nakabalik kami sa Math Dokyu,” aniya. “Panibagong alab ito para sa aming lahat.”

Nagpaabot din ng suporta ang punongguro na si 𝗝𝘂𝗮𝗻 𝗦. 𝗧𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗷𝗮, na nagbigay-diin sa patuloy na kontribusyon ng Math Dokyu Team sa pagpapalakas ng numerikal na kasanayan ng mga mag-aaral ng BRDHS.

Susunod na haharap ang grupo sa 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝗿 sa 𝗦𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗴𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 sa 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘆𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗲 5, 2025, dala ang layuning maipamalas ang kanilang panibagong dokumentaryo sa rehiyon.

The three-day professional development program for mathematics teachers titled "English for Math: Enhancing English Language and Skills for Math Learners" is currently being held today, Oct. 10, at Rhaj Inn, Virac.

Assistant Schools Division Superintendent, Delfin Bondad, in his message, challenged the participants to focus more on helping the learners to read . He emphasized that "every teacher is a reading teacher". Chief Education Supervisor, Romel Petajen, highlighted that " confidence in the use of language " is key to more engaged students.

Education Program Supervisor in Math, Jezrahel T. Omadto, comprehensively presented the rationale of the training by citing numerous data from local and international assessment. He also shared that the training was inspired by one of his subjects in the master's program.

The training is composed of nine (9) topics aimed at enhancing pedagogical knowledge of the participants. The training packages were prepared by select teacher-experts and quality assured by the EPS and experts in the Division.

Sixty- eight (68) teacher- participants are expected to complete the program and be able to come-up with work application plan to be implemented in their respective schools.
