The Central Luzon State University (CLSU) Council of Deans (COD) is currently convening its regular meeting today, August 14, 2026, at the Academic Affairs Amphitheater, bringing together academic leaders and representatives of the University community to deliberate on matters that shape CLSU's academic direction and priorities.

Led by Dr. Ravelina R. Velasco, Vice President for Academic Affairs, the meeting gathers the college deans, heads directly under the Academic Affairs Program, and faculty representative. Also participating are Ms. Rashella C. Ballesteros, Chair of the CLSU University Supreme Student Council (USSC), and the representative of the Federation of Graduate Students Association (FGSA), ensuring that student perspectives are considered in academic discussions.

The Council is deliberating on several matters concerning the University's academic development, including professorial accreditation, honorary professorship, guidelines on the use of artificial intelligence in teaching and learning, and the Joint Academic Council Meeting for the Midyear Term 2026 and First Semester of Academic Year 2026โ€“2027 graduation.

The academic leaders are also engaging in an initial discussion on asynchronous classes and their relevance to the University's present academic situation, opening a dialogue on how flexible learning approaches may respond to emerging instructional needs and changing circumstances.

The meeting likewise serves as a platform for the deans and academic leaders to raise concerns, exchange insights, and collectively examine proposals affecting the University's academic community. Through this participatory approach, the OVPAA continues to strengthen collaborative academic governance, ensuring that institutional decisions are informed by diverse perspectives and aligned with CLSU's commitment to quality, responsive, and forward-looking education.
