Technovate is an event where 4th years present their Technopreneurship ideas, focused on start-up concepts that utilize technology as a primary component to solve real life problems. Each pitch presents ideas of innovation and potential impact, like a mock pitch presenting to real customers or consumers. As its core, the event aims to evaluate the students' innovative ability to conceptualize and communicate value effectively.

It's time for this year's pitching challenge for the senior IT Students.
A chance to prove they have what it takes to pitch inventions for this challenge.

Information Security and Data Privacy are for everyone. Understanding how information can be protected, recognizing common security risks, and practicing responsible information handling can help us become safer and more responsible digital citizens.

Join us for an engaging and practical session where we’ll explore the fundamentals of Information Security and Data Privacy using relatable examples and real-world experiences.

Central Luzon State University (CLSU) BSIT students made a strong national debut in cybersecurity competition as Team CLSU Venom secured 5th Place in the TRON Cup 2026 Cyber Defense Exercise National Finals, held on September 12–13, 2026.

Composed of four Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) students, Team CLSU Venom represented Central Luzon State University and the 7th Infantry Division (7ID) of the Philippine Army in the national finals, competing alongside 13 state universities and colleges from across the Philippines.

The TRON Cup 2026 – Cyber Defense Exercise National Finals, the Philippine Army’s flagship collegiate cybersecurity competition, brought together top-performing university teams in a realistic and highly competitive cyber defense environment. The competition challenged participants to demonstrate their technical skills, teamwork, problem-solving abilities, and capacity to respond to cybersecurity threats under pressure.

Representing Team CLSU Venom were Jethro B. Garcia (Team Captain), Krishae Ann Dela Cruz, Cherry Mae Santos, and Edzleizel Sagabaen, with Dr. Anazel P. Gamilla and Ryan L. Bermoza serving as Faculty Advisers.

The team earned its place in the national finals after emerging as Champion in the TRON Cup 2025 Philippine Army Major Units (PAMUs) Qualifiers held in November 2025. Their victory earned them the opportunity to represent the 7th Infantry Division at the national level.

The team’s 5th-place finish marks a significant milestone for the CLSU Department of Information Technology (DIT), as it represents the department’s debut in a national cybersecurity competition. While narrowly missing the podium, the achievement places CLSU among the country’s competitive collegiate cybersecurity teams and serves as a strong foundation for future participation in national cyber defense competitions.

The CLSU Department of Information Technology extends its sincere appreciation to the Assistant Chief of Staff for Command and Control, Communications and Cyber System (G6), 7th Infantry Division, led by LTC Lito F. Salanguste, GSC (SC), PA, for the opportunity given to Team CLSU Venom to represent the 7ID, as well as for the continued support extended to the team throughout the competition.

From the campus to the national stage, Team CLSU Venom’s journey in TRON Cup 2026 marks a meaningful milestone for the CLSU BSIT community. The experience has provided our students with an opportunity to learn, grow, and compete alongside talented cybersecurity teams from across the country. This experience inspires our students to continue learning, improving, and pursuing excellence in cybersecurity.

𝗛𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗟-𝗜𝗧 | Arnisador sa Tanghalan, Programmer sa Silid-Aralan 👩🏻‍💻

Malugod na binabati ng Information Technology Student Council ang isa sa ating ka-IT student na si Althea B. Esteban, na nagmula sa BSIT 2-5. Isa siya sa lumahok sa naganap na Philippine Eskrima Kali Arnis Federation (PEKAF) National Battle of Champions sa Ninoy Aquino Stadium, Manila noong Agosto 8-9, 2026.

Ang nasabing event ay ang pagpapatuloy ng PEKAF Luzon at National Capital Region Qualifying Tournament na naganap naman noong Enero 16-18 sa Velodrome sa Tagaytay.

Bakas ang husay at dedikasyon ni Althea dahil sa 358 na mga manlalaro mula sa Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao, at National Capital Region, naitawid pa rin niyang masungkit ang 5th Place sa Light Weight Divisions.
