Don’t fall into the trap of believing forgiveness and reconciliation are the same thing. You can forgive someone and choose to not see them again to save yourself from revisiting trauma. You can choose to protect yourself and those you love from any potential harm. With that said, I hope you won’t use “boundaries” as a way to cut someone off because you don’t like them or you want them to suffer. That’s called covering your sins. These are serious subjects which call for humility, prayer, and sincerity.

Reconciliation may hopefully come in time, but it is not required for forgiveness. Some things may not be worked out until the next life. Perhaps that is why space is such a big place and eternity is such a long time; the Lord knows some people are going to need serious time and distance away from each other in order to work it out. :)

Every wrong relationship leads to the right one. If you can love the wrong person so much, imagine how much you’ll love the right one.

Every heartbreak makes you realize that you deserve better and it presents an opportunity for you to grow into an improved version of yourself.

Great love shakes us up, excites, and terrifies us simultaneously...when it leaves us, we can choose to become bitter or to become better.

It also gives you a chance to become stronger and wiser with an increased ability to love.

One day someone will come into your life and make you see why it didn’t work out with anyone else.

Until then, use every chance you get to grow into the kind of person that the right guy couldn’t imagine living without. 😊🙏💙
