PNP Conducts Anti-Bullying Awareness Talk at Bato Elementary School
BATO, June 23, 2026 – Given the recent wave of violent incidents involving students, which have been linked to bullying and related conflicts, personnel from the Philippine National Police (PNP) conducted an awareness talk on Republic Act No. 10627, otherwise known as the Anti-Bullying Act of 2013, at Bato Elementary School before class hours began early this morning.
The activity aimed to educate learners, teachers, and school personnel on the importance of preventing and addressing bullying in schools. Under RA 10627, all elementary and secondary schools are required to adopt policies that promote a safe and secure learning environment and address acts of bullying among students.
The officers encouraged students to practice respect, empathy, and responsible behavior, while also reminding them to report incidents of bullying to teachers and school authorities. They stressed that creating a peaceful and supportive school environment is a shared responsibility among learners, parents, educators, and the community.
School officials welcomed the initiative and expressed their appreciation to the PNP for conducting the timely awareness campaign. They noted that the activity reinforces the school's commitment to child protection and the promotion of a culture of kindness, discipline, and respect among learners.
