Just like 𝐑𝐮𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐭, who is always ready for every adventure, we must also be prepared for unexpected situations such as earthquakes. Preparedness is not about carrying the most equipment—it's about having the right knowledge, staying calm, and knowing what to do when it matters most.
When an earthquake strikes, remember these three life-saving steps:
𝑫𝑼𝑪𝑲– Get down low to prevent being knocked over.
𝑪𝑶𝑽𝑬𝑹 – Protect your head and neck under a sturdy table or desk.
𝑯𝑶𝑳𝑫– Hold on until the shaking completely stops.
As Scouts, we are taught to be prepared, responsible, and ready to help others. By learning and practicing earthquake safety, we strengthen not only ourselves but also our school and community.
Russell reminds us that courage is not the absence of fear—it is staying calm, thinking clearly, and taking the right action when challenges arise. Let us carry that same Scout spirit wherever we go.
