Pedro A. Arches National High School proudly welcomed representatives from the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as part of the validation of Mt. Apo’s bid for UNESCO Global Geopark recognition.

The school was honored to be graced by Dr. Guy Martin Martini of France and Mr. Chenggong Zhang of China, who engaged with students and examined how Mt. Apo’s rich geological, environmental, and cultural heritage is integrated into the school’s curriculum and learning experiences.

The engagement highlighted the vital role of education in fostering awareness, appreciation, and stewardship of Mt. Apo among the younger generation.

Pedro A. Arches NHS extends its sincere appreciation to the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) for its invaluable support and continued efforts in the conservation, protection, and promotion of Mt. Apo’s natural heritage. The agency’s commitment and partnership are instrumental in strengthening environmental education and inspiring communities to become responsible stewards of this treasured landscape.

Through our learners, Mt. Apo’s story continues to be taught, valued, and carried toward the global community.

BREAKING BARRIERS: Pedro A. Arches NHS Launches the Bagobo Tagabawa Literacy Program

Pedro A. Arches National High School proudly marks a significant milestone in its commitment to inclusive, culturally responsive, and equitable education with the launching of the Bagobo Tagabawa Literacy Program.

This initiative goes beyond literacy development. It creates a meaningful learning space where learners are empowered to strengthen essential literacy competencies while recognizing, preserving, and celebrating the language, culture, heritage, and identity of the Bagobo Tagabawa community.

The program reflects the school’s continuing commitment to an education system that respects cultural diversity, promotes indigenous knowledge, and ensures that every learner has meaningful opportunities to learn, participate, and succeed.

This is more than the launch of a literacy program, it is a step toward an education that honors identity, preserves heritage, and transforms lives.

Pormal na Pagbubukas ng Buwan ng Wika 2026

Sa diwa ng pagkakaisa at pagmamalaki sa ating pambansang wika, opisyal na sinimulan ng Pedro A. Arches National High School ang pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wika 2026.

Sa temang “Wikang Filipino at AI: Kasangkapan sa Pananaliksik at Tulay sa Yaman ng Impormasyon,” binibigyang-diin ang mahalagang papel ng wikang Filipino sa makabagong panahon—kung saan ang teknolohiya at Artificial Intelligence ay nagsisilbing katuwang sa pananaliksik, pagkatuto, at pagpapalaganap ng kaalaman, habang pinananatili at pinayayabong ang ating mayamang wika at kultura.

Sama-sama nating ipagdiwang ang ating pagkakakilanlan bilang mga Pilipino sa pamamagitan ng iba't ibang gawaing magpapaigting sa pagmamahal at pagpapahalaga sa wikang Filipino.
