The "Speak Up, I'm Here" Mental Health Awareness and Advocacy Program, spearheaded by the Provincial Government of Ilocos Norte, successfully reached Banna National High School, bringing an empowering message of ๐™๐™ค๐™ฅ๐™š, ๐™ช๐™ฃ๐™™๐™š๐™ง๐™จ๐™ฉ๐™–๐™ฃ๐™™๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™œ, ๐™–๐™ฃ๐™™ ๐™ข๐™š๐™ฃ๐™ฉ๐™–๐™ก ๐™ฌ๐™š๐™ก๐™ก๐™ฃ๐™š๐™จ๐™จ to the student community.

In partnership with the school administration, led by the ever-dedicated School Principal, Mrs. Primella D. Remigio, the initiative provided students with a meaningful opportunity to deepen their understanding of mental health. Through engaging discussions and insightful lectures from invited speakers, the students learned the importance of recognizing mental health concerns, breaking the stigma surrounding them, and fostering a culture where seeking help and speaking up are encouraged rather than judged.

The program served as a powerful reminder that Students actively participated throughout the activity, demonstrating genuine interest, attentiveness, and a willingness to learn about issues that affect not only themselves but also the people around them.

The success of the program was evident in the enthusiasm and engagement of the BNHS students from start to finish. As the activity concluded, it left students with a renewed sense of awareness, empathy, and the courage to speak up, support one another, and prioritize mental well-being in their daily lives.

The start of the school week was marked by heavy hearts but a profound sense of gratitude. During Monday's Flag Raising Ceremony at Banna National High School, the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) dedicated a solemn tribute to the late Sir Efren Agdinaoay Jr. With the national flag flying at half-mast, the BSP unit marched in with quiet dignity to honor his memory, creating a poignant moment of reflection for the entire school community.

For years, he selflessly dedicated himself to leading, guiding, and teaching our scouts the true meaning of honor, discipline, and service. He was not just a leader, but a mentor who shaped the character of many young minds. The very salute he taught us to give is now returned to him with heavy hearts, as we offer the highest respect and tribute he so truly deserves.

Rest in peace, Sir Efren. Your guidance will be missed, but your legacy lives on in the hearts and actions of your scouts. ๐Ÿค

A teacher who was a beacon of dreamsโ€”dreams for himself, dreams for his students, dreams for his friends, and dreams for his family.

Kind and patientโ€”this is how everyone will always remember him. Driven by his dedication and boundless love for his students' success, he would push and uplift them, doing whatever it took to ensure they achieved their dreams.

His firm reminder, โ€œDo something!โ€ whenever someone wanted to give up in the face of hardship, will forever echo in our hearts. He would always remind us as a source of strength: โ€œLive your life to the fullest.โ€ Because life, as he said, is precious and something we must protect and cherish.

We are deeply grateful for the legacy you built with the BSP within Banna National High School, serving as a guiding light that deepened our love for where we come from. As a Science Teacher and YES-O adviser, you opened our eyes to the beauty of the world and taught us to protect it. And on the field, as a devoted coach, your comforting presence reminded us of what truly matteredโ€”always lifting our spirits and ensuring that a smile never left our faces, even in defeat.

But what breaks our hearts the most is knowing that we did not just lose a teacher. He served as a sanctuary and a shield where many shed their tears and shared their struggles. He became a sibling, and acted as a mother and father to everyone who sought comfort in him. No amount of tears or sorrow can measure the grief in our hearts over your passing, Sir.

Even so, your unmatched kindness, patience, and love for everyone at school, along with the lifelong lessons and courage you gave us, will always remain anchored in the spirit of Banna NHS.

You will never be forgotten, Sir Efren. Rest now, our dear Sir. Though you are no longer within our sight, your memory and your strength will never fade or be forgotten.

We love you dearly, Sir. May you rest in eternal peace.

Ang Hinay, Hinto, Hayo, Hinga ay ang 4-level na Learning Continuity Framework ng Department of Education (DepEd) sa ilalim ng DepEd Order No. 14, s. 2026. Banna National High School successfully conducted a School Safety Awareness Lecture today, aiming to empower our students with vital knowledge on security and personal safety.

We were honored to have PMAJ Exequiel Giovanni L. Doloroso, Chief of Police of Banna, alongside PSSG Krista Ann Manicdo, lead the lecture. They shared invaluable insights on crime prevention, emergency preparedness, and the importance of civic responsibility. Through this initiative, we aim to strengthen students' awareness of school safety, encourage responsible decision-making, and foster a culture of vigilance and peace within our school community.

Marking a significant milestone in this initiative, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on "Strengthening and ensuring safe, secure, and child- friendly learning and environment for learners" was officially signed this morning. Led by our School Principal and teachers, this landmark agreement was signed in partnership with the Philippine National Police (PNP), the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) President, Mrs. Ginalyn Lucas, and the Barangay Captain of Hilario, Mr. J***y Gacula. This collaborative effort solidifies a multi-sectoral commitment to maintaining a secure and nurturing environment for all learners.
