A new academic year begins with more than the return to classrooms โ it begins with ๐ฃ๐๐ฌ ๐๐ญ๐ฅ๐๐ง๐๐๐ฃ๐๐๐จ, ๐๐ค๐ฃ๐ฃ๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ค๐ฃ๐จ, and ๐ค๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ค๐ง๐ฉ๐ช๐ฃ๐๐ฉ๐๐๐จ ๐๐ค๐ง ๐๐ง๐ค๐ฌ๐ฉ๐.
On ๐๐๐ด๐๐๐ ๐ญ๐ฏ, ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฒ, the ๐ฃ๐๐๐ฐ๐ต๐ผ๐น๐ผ๐ด๐ ๐๐ฒ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ successfully held its ๐๐ฒ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ฎ๐น ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐น ๐๐๐๐ฒ๐บ๐ฏ๐น๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐น ๐ข๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐บ๐ถ๐ฐ ๐ฌ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฒ-๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ณ, welcoming the freshies, transferees, and shiftees as they stepped into a new academic chapter.
The day began with the morning ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐น ๐๐๐๐ฒ๐บ๐ฏ๐น๐, where students gathered for registration and the opening of the program. The assembly was hosted by ๐ ๐. ๐ฆ๐๐๐ฎ๐ถ๐ป๐ป๐ฒ ๐๐ต๐ฎ๐ป๐ฒ ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐พ๐๐ถ๐ฏ๐ผ๐, the ๐ฃ๐ฆ๐ฌ๐ก๐๐ฃ๐ฆ๐ ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ป๐, whose warm and composed facilitation guided the flow of the program. The event was officially opened with welcoming remarks from ๐ฆ๐ถ๐ฟ ๐ ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ต๐ฎ๐ฒ๐น ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ผ๐บ๐ฒ ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐น, who extended a heartfelt message to the incoming students and affirmed their place within the Psychology community.
Following the opening, representatives from various university offices โ including the ๐๐ถ๐ฏ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐, ๐ฆ๐ฐ๐ต๐ผ๐น๐ฎ๐ฟ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ฝ ๐ข๐ณ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฒ, ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ด๐ถ๐๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฟโ๐ ๐ข๐ณ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฒ, and ๐ฆ๐๐๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐๐ณ๐ณ๐ฎ๐ถ๐ฟ๐ ๐ข๐ณ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฒ presents their essential services and institutional resources, providing students with practical knowledge as they begin their journey as a college student.
The afternoon brought the students closer to the heart of the gathering โ the ๐ฃ๐๐๐ฐ๐ต๐ผ๐น๐ผ๐ด๐ ๐๐ฒ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ itself. The orientation began with ๐๐ฎ๐บ๐๐๐๐ฎ๐ต๐ฎ๐ป, and was continued with the introduction of ๐ฃ๐๐๐ฐ๐ต๐ผ๐น๐ผ๐ด๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ฐ๐๐น๐๐ ๐ ๐ฒ๐บ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐, and also introduces the people behind the departmentโs student-led initiatives and activities, the ๐ฃ๐ฆ๐ฌ๐ก๐๐ฃ๐ฆ๐ ๐ข๐ณ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ and its ๐๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐๐ฒ ๐ง๐ฒ๐ฎ๐บ. The ๐๐ผ๐ป๐๐๐ถ๐๐๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐๐น๐ฎ๐๐ were also mentioned during the orientation.
Following the presentations, the ๐ผ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ป ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ๐๐บ gave students the opportunity to voice their questions and concerns. Senior Psychology students responded by sharing their ๐ค๐ฌ๐ฃ ๐๐ญ๐ฅ๐๐ง๐๐๐ฃ๐๐๐จ and ๐ฅ๐ง๐๐๐ฉ๐๐๐๐ก ๐๐ฃ๐จ๐๐๐๐ฉ๐จ, offering the students a glimpse of what lies ahead in their journey as Psychology students.
The orientation concluded with the closing remarks of ๐ ๐. ๐ฆ๐๐๐ฎ๐ถ๐ป๐ป๐ฒ ๐๐ต๐ฎ๐ป๐ฒ ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐พ๐๐ถ๐ฏ๐ผ๐, ๐ฃ๐ฆ๐ฌ๐ก๐๐ฃ๐ฆ๐ ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ป๐, who left the students with a meaningful reminder: โ๐
