🌊🐠 Hello Dacapenians! Dive into the excitement with us as we celebrate MPA Month this May! 🐚🎉

The LGU of Bani has officially declared the month of MAY to be Marine Protected Area (MPA) Month an effort to celebrate Banis' local marine protected area.

The Dacap Norte National High School was chosen to be part of the said celebration and was actively participated by our School Head, DNNHS teachers, students, the BKD, YES-O, and SSLG Officers, and it was a resounding success!

The two-day event, happened on May 11-12, 2024 at Sitio Olanen, Dacap Sur,Bani,Pangasinan initiated by LGU Bani, Agricultures Office together with the US Peace Corps Volunteers.

Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) and the crucial role they play in safeguarding our underwater ecosystems. From informative sessions led by experts and volunteer workers to hands-on activities, the participant gearing up for an unforgettable experience filled with learning, adventure, and plenty of fun!

Our community came together to commemorate Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) and their significant impact on our local marine ecosystems. Through informative sessions, interactive activities, and meaningful discussions, participants gained a deeper understanding of the importance of preserving our oceans. We learned how MPAs help protect marine biodiversity, promote sustainable fishing practices, mitigate the effects of climate change, the importance of mangroves, seaweeds and corals in marine life, also the importance of having a balance marine life.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the LGU Bani for choosing Dacap Norte National High School as their participants for this activity. We look forward for future activities and collaborations with our LGU partners.

Together, we'll delve deep into the importance of marine conservation and emerge with a renewed commitment to protect our oceans for generations to come. Let's make waves and make a difference! ACT GREEN, SAVE BLUE! 🌊💙
