Two-Day School INSET 2026
Dacap Sur Elementary School conducted its two-day School-Based In-Service Training (INSET) on September 10–11, 2026, focusing on strengthening teachers’ knowledge and skills in lesson planning, instructional approaches, teaching methodologies, strategies, and the development of instructional materials.
On Day 1, the participants underwent a pre-assessment and expectations-setting activity, followed by sessions on Lesson Structures and Lesson Models (Discussant: Bernalyn N. Oduca), Instructional Approaches and Teaching Models (Discussant: Crisanta R. Navelgas), and Teaching Strategies (Discussant: Rosalinda T. Orlanda). These were complemented by workshops that enabled the teachers to select appropriate lesson structures and match instructional approaches with learning objectives. The day concluded with reflection and synthesis.
On Day 2, the teachers began with a recap and energizer before proceeding to sessions on Teaching Methodologies and Techniques (Discussant: Julius Patrick C. Nieves), and Construction of Instructional Materials (Discussant: Vladimir K. Arizala). Through hands-on workshops, the participants enhanced lesson plans and developed instructional materials suited to their learners’ needs. A presentation and gallery walk provided opportunities for peer feedback and sharing of outputs. The INSET concluded with a post-assessment, evaluation, and closing program.
The two-day activity provided the teaching personnel with meaningful opportunities for professional learning, collaboration, reflection, and practical application, with the goal of improving classroom instruction and creating more engaging and effective learning experiences for the learners of Dacap Sur Elementary School.
