Banban National High School once again showcased its excellence in the field of science as it proudly brought home 𝑡𝑤𝑜 𝑎𝑤𝑎𝑟𝑑𝑠 in the 𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐌𝐓𝐎𝐊𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 competition during the 𝑆𝐷𝑂𝐼𝑁 𝑆𝑐𝑖𝑒𝑛𝑐𝑒 𝐹𝑖𝑒𝑠𝑡𝑎 2025.

Last year, the school earned one award in the same event. This time, Banban NHS doubled its success—highlighting the learners’ growth, teamwork, and passion for scientific discovery.

During the Amihan Week of our September Fiesta, students brought science to life through the Aerodynamics Challenge—a fun-filled series of activities that blended learning, creativity, and teamwork.

From crafting the best 𝑝𝑎𝑝𝑒𝑟 𝑝𝑙𝑎𝑛𝑒𝑠, building 𝑚𝑖𝑛𝑖 𝑡𝑢𝑟𝑏𝑖𝑛𝑒𝑠, to 𝑓𝑙𝑦𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑘𝑖𝑡𝑒𝑠 that tested balance, design, and teamwork, everyone surely felt the thrill of science in action. These activities didn’t just bring fun, they also showed how 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 + 𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 + 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 = 𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠.

Bangui, Ilocos Norte - September 19, 2025

A successful 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 was conducted at 𝐑𝐚𝐲𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐲, 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐛𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐢, 𝐈𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐨𝐬 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐞 from 8:00 to 12:00 PM, with the theme “𝑮𝒓𝒐𝒘 𝒂 𝑻𝒓𝒆𝒆, 𝑮𝒓𝒐𝒘 𝒂 𝑭𝒖𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆.” The event was spearheaded by the Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O) and selected students, educators, and community stakeholders in a collective effort to protect and sustain the environment.

A total of 63 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬, together with their 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬, the 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐥, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐆𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐌. 𝐃𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐚, representatives from the 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐬 (𝐃𝐄𝐍𝐑), 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝐓𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐝𝐬, and a representative of the 𝐀𝐛𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐭 𝐒𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, participated in the activity. The group worked hand in hand to plant trees around the spring area, symbolizing a shared commitment to environmental conservation.

The initiative highlighted the vital role of schools and communities in promoting ecological awareness and responsibility among the youth. It also emphasized that simple yet meaningful actions, such as tree planting, contribute significantly to the preservation of natural resources for future generations.

Gratitude was extended to the following individuals for their valuable support in making the program possible:

For the students of 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐛𝐚𝐧 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥, September 10, 2025, was not just another school day—it was a journey into the magical world of 𝐋𝐔𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐀: 𝐀 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐬, 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐜, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞.

Held at 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐢 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 from 8:00 AM to 12:00 NN, the event opened the doors to a new kind of learning—one that combines creativity, imagination, and science in ways the students had never experienced before.

From the breathtaking 𝒔𝒉𝒂𝒅𝒐𝒘 𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒚 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒂 𝒎𝒆𝒎𝒃𝒆𝒓 𝒐𝒇 𝑬𝒍 𝑮𝒂𝒎𝒎𝒂 𝑷𝒆𝒏𝒖𝒎𝒃𝒓𝒆, to the hands-on thrill of experimenting with 𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒑𝒖𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒈𝒂𝒅𝒈𝒆𝒕𝒔, and the fun of stepping onto an 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒇𝒍𝒐𝒐𝒓, every moment was filled with wonder.
