🎶✨ Rock on Abra SPED Center! ✨🎶

The stage is set and the music is about to begin! 💙💛 Thanks to the DepEd-CAR Regional Office, our SPED learners now have brand-new musical instruments to spark their creativity and love for music. 🎵

Here’s what we received:
🎹 Yamaha PSR-E383 Keyboards (with stand & sustain pedal)
🥁 Trojan Cymbals – hi-hats, rides, crashes & splash
🔔 Power Tambourines – stainless steel jingles
🥁 Steely Drum Kit – S1 Bronze Series
🎼 J Tones Percussion Kit – tunable drum pad, snare sticks, bell mallets, table lyre with stand & rolling bag
🎸 D&D Celestial 1 Guitars – with gig bag, strap, cable & picks

All these instruments will surely bring music, joy, and confidence to our SPED learners! 💖

🌟✨ Something inspiring is happening at Abra SPED Center! ✨🌟

From September 8–12, 2025, our school has become the home of a 5-day training on Basic Handloom Weaving (Saori Therapeutic Handloom Weaving)! 🧵💚

👩‍🏫 8 dedicated teachers and 💡 15 amazing SPED learners are taking part in this special journey—discovering how weaving is not just an art, but also a way to express creativity, build confidence, and open doors to new opportunities.

This first in Abra, and one-of-a-kind training is brought to us by the Department of Science and Technology–CAR and DOST Provincial S&T Office–Abra, with strong support from the Provincial Government of Abra, Asia Livelihood Network, Abra SPED Center, Saori Hands of Love, University of Abra, and the DOST Philippine Textile Research Institute. 🙌

The opening ceremony was graced by Principal May B. Arconado, DOST-PSTD Engr. Ralf B. Sapi-il, and Provincial Legal Officer Atty. Noreen Bargas on behalf of Governor Takit Bersamin. We also felt the warmth and support of our friends from Japan 🇯🇵, including Mr. Takashi Higashiyama, who shared their expertise and encouragement.

👏 Huge thanks to all our partners, resource persons, and the ever-committed DOST personnel, especially Ms. Aileen Malangen for her guidance and support.

Together, we are weaving not only fabric, but also HOPE, opportunities, and brighter futures for our learners and community. 🌈💚
